It’s Award Time!

I just can’t believe this really, I have actually been given this Liebster Award!  Twice!  The only problem is, the first time I had no idea what to do with it.  Sigh.  Now I do!  Hopefully.  Hey, does that mean I can do this twice?  Probably not.  Sigh.  Would be fun though, different questions.  Now you get to find out some things about me.  Maybe.  If you have been around here long, you will probably figure my answers might be, well, different.  Most likely.  But I will try to be at least somewhat normal with this.  Then on Monday there is another thing to do, some kind of book tag thing.  Two in a row, not bad! Hmm, guess I should get on with this.

What is the Liebster Prize?

The Liebster Prize is an award that exists only on the Internet and is awarded to bloggers by other bloggers. The first case of the award goes back to 2011. Liebester in German means sweet, kind, kind, dear, charming, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome. It really is an excellent way to meet other bloggers and gain more visibility in the community.

There are some simple rules to follow:

Questions

1. What vocation do you consider you have inside without showing?

That’s a tough one, everyone starts with the hard questions.  Sigh.  Just having fun, that’s just me.  Okay, I would go with carpentry.  Nobody would guess that one by looking at me.  Mostly in the small things now, but I could build a house no problem, well, could have at one time.  Still have the knowledge anyway.

2. What is your favorite film and original soundtrack from a film?

Just one?  Another toughie.  Okay, let’s go with Abbot and Costello in Hold that Ghost. Absolutely hilarious.  I like comedy.  And mysteries.  But I can only pick one.

3. Are you a collector of something? Explain how it came about.

This one is easy, sort of.  Could be a long answer though.  I collect old stuff, some people call it antiques, primitives, dishes, old games and of course, insulators!  That’s where it all started.  My Dad liked insulators, I liked collecting old bottles, and we shared adventures in both.  Although at first I didn’t really like the insulator idea, after all, who’s interested in a blob of glass, or porcelain?  I don’t have many old bottles left, I have hundreds of insulators.  Amazing really.  But I like all kinds of things, stoneware, graniteware, wood items, any country stuff, plus minerals and fossils.  And a few other things.  Which is why it is so hard to move around in this little apartment!

4. Are you wine or beer ?

Neither one!  Nothing like that for this guy! Never touched any of it.  It’s COFFEE!  And herbal tea, and water, and COFFEE!  Did I mention COFFEE?  Hot chocolate too in cooler weather.  Plus water.  And COFFEE!  Oh, I think I mentioned that one already.  Next.

5. Two things you should improve on yourself ?

Only two?  That makes this a tough question also.  Hmm, let’s see.  Well, I’m not very smart, so, intelligence is something I could improve upon for sure.  Getting better at photography is another one.  Better at writing is a must.  But tops, having a closer walk with God.

6. Which animal do you prefer, dogs or cats?

MEOW!!  Muffin is watching and she wanted to help.  Translation, CATS!!  This was an easy one.

  4. What would you like to improve about yourself? yes, I know it’s the same.

  7. Okay, I’m adding one, hope that’s permissible. Do you prefer sunrise or sunset?

  1. Congratulations! Wow, I’ve not seen Abbott and Costello in a very long time. I use to watch with my dad. Not a wine or beer drinker or a coffee drinker. Tea is my favorite. I’d say you have intelligence if you know how to build a house.
    As far as the award, I’m so honored by the nomination, but I received one early on in my blogging journey. However, I like your questions so I may do a Q& A post. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Actually I drink about equal amounts of coffee and herbal tea, coffee is my morning drink though! I actually only found out about Abbott and Costello a few years ago, saw it advertised and gave it a try. I have nearly all of them now. Hey, thanks, but I’m still not sure about the intelligence part! Considering all the stupid things I do sometimes! Enjoy your weekend!

      • Ah, we all have our slowdown moments. I’m very clumsy, a lot. Always dropping something, 😰 before that I use to bump into everything. 😆 I’ve come very far in my intelligence. Intelligence has very different definitions to each person. 😆 I’ve accepted them.

      • Thanks so much Tiffany!☺. Sounds like me, I drop stuff a lot too. And almost knock my head off at times. Amazing how often I bump that head of mine!😂. That’s true, intelligence is different in everyone, which is why it’s never good to compare ourselves to others.😀. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    And for the record, you have a wonderful writing style. And on order to be able to build a house you have to have smarts. If I had to build a house it would have Eeyore’s house look like Beverly Hills. 😂🤣😁

  16. Yes, but what do you use them for? How does that have anything to do with slippers?? Did you bump your head again? I am beginning to see why Muffin looks at you strangely… Poor cat no wonder she’s confused.
