The Lake…A Poem.

THE LAKE

The beauty of the lake I see,

This lake so calm in front of me.

It’s filled with islands that are found,

In sizes and shapes all around.

It’s summer beauty sure does shine,

For your enjoyment and for mine.

With such tall pine trees all around,

The home of eagles can be found.

The loon lives here, though numbers few,

It’s nightly cries, so haunting too.

Sandy beaches found everywhere,

Time to relax without a care.

The sun shining in early morn,

With golden warmth to all adorn.

So bright and red, the setting sun,

Signals a calm from the days fun.

    • Hi Jyoti! Some things take time, but it will be okay. I love lakes, just so much beauty. Actually I love listening to the loons, even with their haunting cry I still find it so beautiful even though a bit lonely too.🤗 They are a remarkable bird really.🙂 Thank you so very much for coming by to read my poem today Jyoti, it is so much appreciated!😄 I hope you have had a great day and that your weekend will be even better!!😃 I see you have been busy this week, I hope a nice kind of busy!😁😸🌞🌳

  3. Beautiful poem! Do you know that I love lakes? The name of my blog sounds as “around the lake”… So I think I can love Canada! OK, not for the winter but for the sight 😉

    • Thanks so much!! Hey, that’s cool, didn’t know it meant that.😃 I think here in Ontario we have around 100,000 lakes and there are many more across this big country!😀👍 Canada is a great place in the summer, just not winter!😂😹

      • Our own lake here is over 4,300 km2 in size with more than 14,000 islands, but most lakes are much smaller than that but it is very beautiful to drive the highway and find so many different lakes, breathtaking really.😁📷 Doesn’t look quite so nice in winter though!🥶

      • Yes, there are a lot of castles. There are several villages overlooking the lake that have a castle. But in fact only one is really famous. Then, in the upper part of the lake we have several trenches, tunnels and forts linked to the First World War. In my area, more or less in the middle of the west coast, we have several palaces and monuments connected with the Second World War. And all around the lake there are prehistoric finds. And to tell the truth there is much more. Roman remains, Renaissance remains, and so on. But it’s a very touristy and a very populated place, so we no longer have an uncontaminated nature, indeed. I like to discover the true wild nature in your posts, it’s amazing. It Is something that no longer exists here.

        If you feel it will not be you, or it will not be enjoyable for you, then don’t remove Muffin, but if you’re deciding to start something new and different then it’s also up to you
        Vacation is almost over, I’m back today but maybe won’t be back to blogging, I will see about it 🌞😊

      • Yes, I am getting a lot of pictures now, got a lot yesterday when I went on our tour boat out on the lake. I was pretending to be a tourist yesterday!!😂😂🌞📷😎
