INWARD BEAUTY

As I sit and enjoy the view,

I see the beauty and it’s true.

I look around and see it there,

Beauty like this shines everywhere.

Some may say that beauty is gone,

I will say they are very wrong.

Open your eyes and see it now,

Such beauty here makes all go, wow!

Beauty seems gone but is just rare,

Beauty like this is truly fair.

I’ve seen this beauty shown so clear,

Such beauty shines both far and near.

This beauty makes the face to glow,

It is so real and not just show.

The eyes will twinkle, oh so bright,

Even more than the stars at night.

Not just the beauty that we see,

But beauty found in you and me.

      • Hi Steve—staying close to home for now. Incredible weather! Thunderstorm—shook the house! Fortunately—rains came too. This time we were spared. 🙏🏻

      • Sounds good, those dry storms are dangerous! We had a thunderstorm this afternoon as well but the main part of the storm missed us.

      • Yeah they are! Good thing the firefighters are on it this year. No dilly dallying. I do love hearing thunder. Always have. Scary beauty!

      • Yes indeed, thunder can be great. I used to have a cat that loved to sit in the window during a thunderstorm watching the lightning and listening to the thunder, she really enjoyed it!😃😺

      • Sweet. Our poor little old lady dog was smack dab in the middle of us last night when it started—and shook the whole time. Terrifying for her.

      • It seems most animals don’t like storms, even wild animals. Muffin hides under the bed usually unless it’s a very bad storm, then she wants to be close to me.😀🙀⛈

  12. Loved this! As my dear late mother often quoted, beauty is as beauty does… meaning our actions are what make us beautiful. True beauty comes from within…you captured this perfectly! 😺
