For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
The Sea…A Poem.
I had forgotten about this vacation poem which should have been posted earlier, but here it is now anyway. I hope you enjoy.
THE SEA
As I look out across the sea,
What are the wonders there for me.
With water warm and very blue,
I gain new love for you it’s true.
As I gaze on the waves so fair,
With the gulls floating through the air.
I try to ponder all today,
Oh, such beauty you send my way.
The rising sun upon the sea,
Giving a touch of warmth so free.
It shines on the top of each wave,
More beauty for my eyes to save.
Soft red and pink of setting sun,
Ending the day of simple fun.
All that beauty I find in you,
I know it now and that is true.

That’s like me when I got home, the next day I was sitting here thinking, did I really go anywhere?🤔🌴 I think it just wasn’t quite long enough!😁🌴⛱

Well done! I enjoy when I can be near the sea or any larger body of water. I am looking forward to seeing Maryland’s Eastern Shore in about 4-5 weeks.
