This post is for my friend Steve who lives in Canada. He always posts beautiful photos of His Land and tells stories, memories, nature walks, daily meetings with the local wildlife and much more. Also He shows a lot of flowers and he knows the name of all of them. If you want to take a look at his site, you can find him at stevescountry.com . He is a person with great sensitivity and is Also very funny.
So, Steve, this is for you.
The premise That I do not know nothing about flowers.
Today, while I was hiking at 2400 meters, I saw some beautiful flowers That I would like you to see. The place is called Lazaun Alp and it is located in the Italian Alps on the border with the Austrian ones.
The first flowers That struck me were near a tiny alpine lake. I’ve never seen anything like this in my whole life. Below you will find some shots.
Most of the ground is covered by innumerable juniper plants.
And in the middle of all this wonder somentimes there are some little flowers. Here you are other shots.
I hope you enjoyed my selection of flowers. Have a nice Monday!
——————————————————————————————————————————–
Let me add in, these bell flowers look like our harebells or perhaps the bellflower. The white fluffy ones at the top I have seen here in different places and never knew what they were but today I identified them as cottongrass. This is a type of grass that grows in wet areas from Alaska, through Canada, Europe and northern Asia. I really enjoyed getting this look at some flowers from Italy and seeing some the same as what we have here. Thank you so much Ross!
I hope everyone has enjoyed this look at wildflowers from Italy today. I hope you all enjoy your week and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Good morning Samyak, yeah, this time difference is hard sometimes. I slept well except for the noisy thunderstorms, there was some loud thunder last night! Poor Muffin did not like that! Enjoy your evening!😄😸🌳

Not much at the moment, doing some reading of posts, it is hard to keep up with it, especially this time of year when I’m not inside much. But people are getting upset so I’m trying hard to keep up! Need to eat soon too, not eating enough lately.

Yeah it’s tough to keep up with the posts. Now your day must be over. Take a sound sleep!😊
Are you out for most of the time?

Yeah, I was just thinking of logging off soon. Thanks! I’m normally out from 8 am to 10, then at noon I go out for a walk, usually back around 3. I walk to a nice spot down by the river and sit for awhile, write poems, or posts, or just enjoy nature. And take pics of course. My brain is more clear out there these days. After I get back from that I’m home until time for bed. On WP I’m here on and off during the day, usually on from 6 to 8 am., then from 3 to 8 pm (not steady, off and on, although my laptop is on so I keep checking while doing other things). I like to log off early to have some screen free time before bed, I sleep better that way. Have a great day!😁😸🌞

It looks like these flowers grow in cold places like these high mountains in the Alps of Italy

Yes, that’s true, some will only grow in colder places so they are similar or even the same in different places around the world where the climate is the same. Have a great day!

It’s delightful to see flowers that grow in other countries and what a nice gesture by your fellow blogger to share. I have a fellow blogger from Norway that is a photographer and I have shared many of his amazing photos on my blog. Give Muffin a hug. ☕️

Thanks very very much Steve and thanks to all your kind followers! I really appreciated all your compliments, thank you so much! I really liked to see that the same types of flowers grow in similar but so distant places in the world. It’s a bit like saying hey, we’re far apart but we’re all the same. Really wonderful! The idea for this post came walking, seeing those flowers I thought of Steve and I thought he would like to see them. I never thought I had so much appreciation. Thanks again to everyone☺️
