Special Blogger Award!

Hello everyone and here we are with my very first Special Blogger Award! Wow, I just can’t believe getting this one!  It’s fantastic!  This award was given to me by Sophie, aka Dragon Warrior and unfortunately she is no longer blogging.  Sigh.  I wasn’t quite fast enough getting this done.  I just got too far behind in awards I guess.  I still have another one from Sophie as well, which hopefully will get done this week as well.  Anyway, thank you so much Sophie for giving me my first Special Blogger Award.  Fortunately I was able to thank her before she left blogging.  Otherwise I would really feel bad.  It’s bad enough I didn’t get this done while she was still here.  Sigh.

Award Rules:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions you are asked ( if you’re comfortable doing so!)
  3. Create 10 questions for the bloggers you’ve nominated.

My Questions:

  1. What does “peace” mean to you? Tranquility.  Sitting by a lake surrounded by forest, birds, blue sky. No fighting, no stress.😁😎👍🐿🌳🌞🏞 Or being in a Nice warm place, sitting on the shore of the sea.😁🌞🌴🏝🏖⛱🌅
  2. How many languages do you know? English (and I have trouble with that), a little bit of French, and some meowing. If you think I wasn’t going to mention that, you’re crazy.🤪 My feet are happy at least.😜😀🙄
  3. What do you think is the best thing about keeping pets? Someone to talk to. 😽 Talking to yourself is considered rather strange by most people, so having a pet solves this problem. 😺 Also they are CUTE! 😸😻 Whew, got that in just in time.🤪😀🙄
  4. What is your favourite dessert? Butterscotch pie! Homemade butterscotch that is. WOW.🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧😁😁😁😁😁
  5. Rainforests or barren lands? Rainforest.🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
  6. What is your favourite way to celebrate a victory? Happy dance.🕺🕺 Or dump a bucket of water on someones head.👨‍🚒😂😂😂😂
  7. Any childhood treasure? Can’t think of anything.  Of course, that’s kind of normal about most things.🤔🤔🤪😜🙄
  8. Do you like nature? YES,🌳 YES,🌴 YES,🌼YES,🌻 YES,🌲 YES,⛺ YES,🌄YES,🌅 YES, 🌙YES,🦆 YES! 🦅A little anyway.😂😂😂😂😂
  9. What is your favourite flower or tree? Tree, white pine or red pine. Flower-domestic= mini rose, wild=showy ladyslipper, twinflower.😁😁
  10. What is your favourite book? Bible. Regular book, don’t really have one.🤔

  4. Did she leave leave blogging or just leave temporarily? I can’t keep track of who’s taking a hiatus and who’s not.

    So….I feel like a broken record saying “Congratulations, Steve!” 🥳🥰 What I actually mean is that it’s impressive that you managed to complete the awards, especially since these posts take time out of your busy day to write and publish. Sure, anyone can write something but takes a special person to put an interesting twist on an otherwise “just another award.”😴 And I think you write very interesting content! 🙌Always a pleasure reading what you have to say. 😊💕

    • Well, it sounded like she was leaving permanently, she did write a very nice good bye post even though it was hard for her to do. She didn’t say anything about coming back. She mentioned the haters just like Ilona did. There are people out there that just want to make others miserable unfortunately. Almost worked with me too this summer.

      • I guess when a blog get popular quickly, you get an overwhelming amount of haters and trolls. I’m surprised that Dragon Warrior suddenly left because she went from posting 10+ times a day to the point where it was overtaking my reader….to nothing. So this was a bit of a shock to me. I do hope that these bloggers decide to return one day once they decide to write again. We can only hope for the best, whatever that future happens bring. 🙏🌹🌹

      • With both of them they were very popular very quickly and that probably brings out a lot of jealousy with some bloggers who may have been around much longer but still not as popular. Yes, it would be nice if they did decide to come back again after they have had time to rest and maybe they will miss blogging so will give it another try. I hope so. But whatever they decide to do, I hope they do well at it.😃😺

      • I was unable to find any hate blogs/blog posts directly linked to this case. Makes me wonder what kind of nasty things these people did to cause these bloggers to quit.

        Honestly, I don’t know why anyone would be jealous of these bloggers. I take pride in what I write and wouldn’t want to have a different blog other than my own. In the beginning, I didn’t understand how to generate traffic and genuine comments but Ilona’s shout-outs helped tremendously with that. Even in her bio, she wrote that jealousy breeds hate. There will always be jealous, nasty people, wherever you go. Know when to spot em’ and know when to swat em’! 😝😲

      • I don’t know much about what Sophie had but I know a lot of things said to Ilona. A lot came through her email. That’s one reason I don’t give out my personal email except to people I trust. If someone wants to contact me, I have a contact page, and that’s how a lot of my hate mail came. But I have a second email that I can use to reply to people if I want, rather than using my personal email. But their emails didn’t work usually anyway. I call those people cowards. I have been blogging for a while but Ilona still helped me out which increased my followers a lot. I just didn’t understand blogging too well. Sometimes I think I still don’t!😂😂

    • Thank you so much Outosego! Yes, I was so sorry to see her go, I had been planning to do a couple posts just for her, things we had talked about and she was looking forward to reading them. Things happen I guess. Thanks for such kind words and for reading. Yes, the Bible is my favorite, though I have read hundreds of other books too. I hope you have a great day!     • And has Ilona stopped, too?!! I wondered why I haven’t been seeing anything from her. But this is normal with my notifications here. I don’t see everyone’s posts. I am so sad about those two leaving! 😭

      • Yes Ilona has stopped, about a month ago now, too much stress and what she called haters, people just giving her a hard time, harassing her. At least some of those same ones came after me this summer too which is why I nearly quit blogging. And Sophie also mentioned haters. So sad.😕

      • I knew I wasn’t seeing her posts, but just thought it was another WP glitch. I don’t see everyone’s posts I would like to see anymore…I have to say it angers me what has been done to those two! And I don’t get mad easily! But bullying….well, it makes me rise up to try to help those I call friends! I’m so sorry you were bullied, too! I’m glad I didn’t see it! Which there’s nothing much we can do with words here. I did happen to see one time where someone was harassing Ilona in a post. I told them that there was no place for that here on WP. They tried to revoke me after that, and I just ignored them. I have been bullied before, and I won’t play those games with evil people. Steve, I’m so glad you didn’t give up your blog! Please don’t ever let people like that make you want to quit doing what you love! The truth is, they are jealous, discouragers and just plain evil! I woke up with Ilona and Sophie on my mind. I’m going to try to post something later.

      • I agree, bullying has no place here and we need to stand up to these people. If they or others try to attack me again I will be posting their names on my blog so everyone knows who they are and can watch out for them. I will also post a screenshot of what they said so people know. Maybe then these people will disappear. Ilona and I had several of the same people attacking us, some were obviously jealous because Ilona and I did several collaborations together. Terrible really. Hope your day goes well Renee!🙂😺

    • She stopped suddenly but wouldn’t really say why, though she did mention haters, just like Ilona did. There are always people around who want to make others miserable. I know that some of the same ‘haters’ came my way too and nearly succeeded in getting me to quit as well. We need to stand up to those people. They seem to enjoy picking on new bloggers too. Sad.😕

      • My blog has been around since 2016 but its not a popular blog, which might explain why I don’t get haters. It’s possible to block unwanted bloggers which will prevent them from commenting on your blog. It’s quite a shame that some people have nothing better to do with their lives than bring others down. It’s a relief that you didn’t let these haters win, Steve! 😊✌

        Totally unrelated, but did you know that someone stole my blog name? My blog has been around much longer than the .ca version (they stole .com as well + butchered Sereneluna into two words), and someone even confused my blog with that website by contacting me on my contact form. I was furious when I discovered that this Canadian thief had stolen the name using a quick google search, but I will continue to keep my name despite the temptation to switch to another name! 😭😒 I simply cannot afford to buy a domain right now.

      • Hey, that’s too bad, I didn’t know that happened to you!😲 I hope they didn’t buy the domain name, otherwise they could force you to change if they wanted too.😬 Amazing that people are too lazy to think of their own name.😕 That’s why I started copyrighting everything too, people will try to steal anything these days.😕 I hope you have a great weekend Hilary!😃😺🌞

      • They bought the domain names with .ca and .com and I don’t think the owners know how to properly run a website. I don’t think they can force me to change my name because I am owned by WP under the free version, so they would have to go through WordPress to get to me. Their site is very amateur which is another insult to this name. I sure hope they don’t make me change my name because otherwise, my claws will come out and it’s not pretty when I’m angry. Also, I’ve got a few emails so I can make a few bad Yelp reviews… so watch out thieves! 😠⚡

      • Good for you, don’t give up without a fight. Unfortunately WP would give in right away and tell you to change your name. Fights over names can get nasty and expensive. You’re likely safe though unless that new place starts getting complaints from people not finding the right site. Probably nothing to worry about hopefully.🙂

      • I get the sense that these Canadian thieves are vegan hippies who live out of a van or something. I get this vibe because they failed to invest in a proper website and it looks as if a friend or cousin designed the amateur layout for them. I highly doubt that they would want to spend additional money since they are probably struggling Millenials to begin with. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are drink Kombucha and sing Kumbaya around the campfire at night. 🙏🌺✌🌱

    I hope dragon warrior is happy in her paracosm, she is a incredible girl in such a young age. God bless her.
    No fighting and no stress is excellent definition of peace. Pets are good pals,indeed.

    • I have been known to do some odd things when celebrating a victory,😀 even pouring my coffee on someone😲 (making sure it’s not too hot though),🙄 or spilling someone else’s drink, simple things like that.😂😂But I have had these things done to me too!😀😂
      Pets are handy for many reasons for sure!😺😽
