For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello again everyone and welcome to part 2 of reasons that cats are actually good for our health.🐈😺 Whether it’s for physical health or mental health, cats are a good pet to have around.😽 Plus they are excellent pets for small places or apartments. And, they can give us something that no other kind of pet can give. They purr. And that is not a minor thing either. I already mentioned that a bit in part 1, but we will see even more this time.
A cat curled up on your lap purring can actually help to relieve worry and stress. But it can also take away sadness and make a person much happier. And it has now been proven that purring also helps us physically. Purring actually helps to heal broken bones, tendons and muscles faster than they would normally. How does this happen? Apparently it has to do with the purr vibrations which are between 20 and 140 hz. Plus, we naturally feel better emotionally with a cat purring and that in itself can aid in faster healing.
Cats can be of real benefit to children with autism. These children are less anxious and more calm while petting a cat. Plus, those with a pet cat have improved social interaction. Cats are good for our health in so many different ways. Cats help people to relax. They help people to sleep better, especially if the cat sleeps with you. And in children, exposure to pet dander and fur gives greater resistance to allergens, thus reducing the risk of allergies and asthma. These health benefits just keep purring in!
Having a cat can help to boost a person’s physical energy levels and make us feel much more positive. They also help to decrease any bad feelings a person might have. Due to giving us added energy they also help us to tackle tougher tasks than we would normally want to do. Cats can help us cope during times of great loss, such as losing a loved one. People find that during difficult times talking to their cat helps them to work out their feelings better than talking to another person. Why? Because a cat won’t talk back, they are not critical or judgmental.
Cats can also help people deal with chronic pain much better. Cats can sense emotions. If you are sad, they will often try to make you happy by playing or just acting silly. If you are sick, they will try to comfort you by staying close to you and purring more. And there is much more that can be said, but I will leave it at this for now. But as you can see, there are many health benefits in having a pet cat. I hope everyone is having a pawfect day and God bless!

That Muffin is sooo right, being I know she is behind this post! She’s the expert on all this! And I believe she is right! 😁 I actually recorded a video of my Grace purring recently…I may upload soon? 🤔

You’re absolutely right. That’s why I miss having a cat. Or dog. I wish I could get a cat where I live. But sadly no pets allow.

Check with the owners, often they will allow a cat, especially if you can have a reference to say you would look after it properly. I did that at my previous apartment and the landlord said yes right away. Doesn’t hurt to check.😀😻

Ok I’ll check. But seriously it wouldn’t work, because people here would complain to landlord about making an exception for me and not them. 😒

Possibly, but it still doesn’t hurt to ask.

Not making fun of it, just embellishing it 😉 I liked this series a lot and would totally read Part 3 if you were to continue this series. I’d say Happy Caturday but it’s not Saturday yet. 😂

Awwwww, Muffin has a handsome boyfriend! Scrappy…..how adorable! 🐱🐱😸👍

Thanks for reading Vivian! Yes, Scrappy isn’t really, but apparently he was when he was younger, according to his human. He’s 10 now and slowed down a lot due to arthritis. Beautiful cat though, Muffin certainly thinks so!😸😻😽

Yes, I had a white male cat just like him as a girl. His name was snow.

My landlord called him Snowball at first, until she found out what a fighter he was, then she changed it to Scrappy.😂

As I told you the first time I dropped by your blog. They look the same. And his mom went through the same experience as Muffin when she was pregnant with him. Except that his mom was adopted by the person who found her. She looked like Muffin too 🙂
