Wednesday’s Pictures #2.

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a good day so far.  Today, of course, is when I bring some more pictures your way.  Here it is cold and raining once again.  At this temp it could easily snow.  So, I decided on some sunny yellow pictures for today, I hope you will enjoy this selection of wildflowers.IMG_3459

First, above, we have the smooth yellow violet.  A nice bright violet that blooms in the spring.  It is quite common in this area.IMG_6500

Above is the evening primrose, which, as the name suggests, blooms in the evening and through the night, shriveling up the next day.Large leaved goldenrod

Above we have the very bright yellow large leaved goldenrod.  A common goldenrod here and found in wet areas, or close to lakes and rivers.IMG_7284

And finally, the common buttercup, which is one of our most common yellow wildflowers.  It blooms all summer and into autumn.

Well, that’s it for the wildflowers for today.  I hope you all get to enjoy your day and God bless!

  2. The flowers are beautiful ! Especially the buttercup ! My grandmother warned me to not pick the buttercups as she enjoyed going into the bush to sit and look at them…to her they were little treasures to admire…
