Just Decided…

Good morning everyone!  Another beautiful morning here at Steve’s Country.  Outside it’s cold with a little of those white fluffy things coming down once again.  Actually, now that the temp is below the freezing point, we need some snow soon.  With all that moisture in the ground the frost will go deep this year.  That will cause lots of problems.  But it’s still a beautiful morning and there’s a wonderful day ahead.  It’s a new day, so that makes it a wonderful day.  So let’s get that smile going and enjoy today.  This isn’t one of my picture days, but I decided to do some pictures anyway.  Not many birds around right now, so let’s look at some birds that were around.IMG_5153

The very tiny male ruby throated hummingbird at the feeder getting some sweet water.IMG_5627

And his mate, the female ruby throated hummingbird.  She doesn’t have the red throat, but still a beautiful tiny bird.IMG_4653

Above we have another look at the common merganser and her ducklings.  She had 8 when I first saw her and 5 survived to adulthood.IMG_6916

Above we have Big Blue, one of my 10 blue jays.  He always seems to be fluffed out like that, even when it’s not cold.  The other blue jays don’t do that.

I might do this regularly even if not regularly, if that makes any sense.  I think I’m tired this morning.  Speaking of shopping…wait, that’s for my next post, coming soon.  I hope you all have a beautiful day and God bless!

  1. Good morning, Steve! Yes, a beautiful new day. The sun isn’t quite up yet—but the sky is all allow with golden light…and slightly Smokey. But at least the winds have calmed down now. Lots of branches and other stuffs down.
    Shopping? Ooh—shoe shopping? Teehee.

    • Good morning Nina! Nice that you dropped by this morning!😃😺 Actually I did go shoe shopping, but that isn’t what I will write about though.😀
      I have been trying to get to your blog but it just keeps coming up with an empty page, 4 times now.🤔

      • Hmmm…wonder what’s up with that? I have no clue why it does that. I did check by googling and all seems fine—maybe it’s just the reader that’s messed up? Thanks for letting me know.
        I went shopping yesterday. Bought a book for my husband and me. “Hold Me Tight” by Dr. Sue Johnson. Love and relationships. Not easy—but so worth it.

        So new shoes, eh? Good for you! That should also help with your therapy and healing.
        Ok, I gotta run—wood chores today…

        Second ultrasound treatment today. Hope it helps, can’t tell yet.🤔 Sure hope it doesn’t take another 2 months, think I would go crazy!😂😹🙄

    • Wow, you had a dry autumn and ours was the wettest on record! Although winter temps have arrived, only a dusting of snow on the ground and the ground is quickly freezing solid. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!😄😸🌞

    • Thanks! I’m not so sure she was calm though, she left quickly. That was our first encounter with each other. After a few encounters she had settled down.

  8. Hi Steve, Beautiful pictures. Humming birds are cute. i love dem.🥰. Merganser duck, only 5 survived? 🤔 r u sure i didnt eat 3 of them😜. well i would do 😁 oh this one blue jay? see that? he needs a serious diet it seems. he is lot puffy 😜😀. And also honestly, what do you think of the weird comments out of the blog content.🤔 i see it and all i think is, dey hav a problem🥴✨😉 Have a beautiful .Friday ✨🤗✍️
