For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Joys Of Winter
People love this winter time,
All this snow and colder clime.
Sure, it’s fun to run and jump
Right into that snowy lump.
But, first make sure that it’s nice
Soft and snowy, and not ice!
Why love winter? I don’t know,
I don’t like to shovel snow.
Shovel, shovel, shovel snow,
Who likes that? I just don’t know.
People love this winter stuff,
As for me, I’ve had enough!

You wrote a nice poem, Steve! However, winter does not spark joy for me. Time to go all Marie Kondo and move south! I wish…. π

I agree, no joy in winter for me either. But I always try to see some good points in every situation, especially when I can’t do anything about changing it.ππΉπI hope you are feeling better now, read your post today, did my comment show up?π€ Was having trouble with it for some reason. Sigh. Always happens to me.π€ͺππ

I don’t see your comment, Steve. π I just checked the spam and pending folder and didn’t see anything either. Your comments should be approved automatically, so I don’t know why I didn’t get it. ππ

I don’t know why it happens, but I have had the problem before on other blogs too. Usually by waiting until later/next day, then it works. Kind of odd. I’ll try again.ππΊ

Thanks for commenting again. I got your comment this time and will reply to it. Thatβs weird that youβre experiencing this problem. πββοΈ
Unless my internet cuts out, I havenβt experienced these problems. We are with Telus and the internet connection has been less than ideal lately….

Not really weird, quite normal for me and technology! It hates me.πππ
Hope you have a wonderful day Hilary!ππΊβπ

It may hate you but at least you donβt hate it. Otherwise you wouldnβt be using technology at all LOL

I’ll start building them down there and blow it back! HA!

You’ll need to make them much bigger since you have to blow the air uphill.πππ

Good point! But hot air rises so I’ve got that working for me!

If that’s true, how come all that warm air from down south doesn’t come north?

I think they have a special way to hold onto that warm air, just not sure how, but if I can figure it out…ππ€£
Have to quit early tonight, have some things to do before heading off to bed. Sigh. Good night, thanks for chatting!ππΈ

We don’t get snow here, and I always think it would be really awesome… But maybe not?

Lots of people really like it. Here, when we get snow it stays for a long time, 5 to 7 months, usually a lot of snow which means lots of work in very cold weather. But some people still enjoy it. I used to, now I would prefer some warmer place to live for a while.ππΉ

Soft and snowy, and not ice! … so true! and of course, shoveling snow is not fun… but hey, without winter 4 season won’t be as fun.
