Hello everyone on this Christmas Eve day! Time certainly flies doesn’t it? And so soon we will be starting a new year. I guess you are all getting your last minute preparations done for Christmas. Perhaps traveling a little. Having family over. Cooking and preparing everything for a delicious meal. Kids…of all ages, are probably getting excited. Some people are wishing for snow to arrive on time for a brilliantly white Christmas. Why, I have no idea. But it seems a lot of people want snow for Christmas. Personally I would rather have no snow for Christmas. But that never happens around here. This year is probably as close as we would ever get, with only about 6 inches (15cm) of snow on the ground. And it is going to be very mild, close to melting actually. Such a nice thought.
And with those warm thoughts, let’s see some warm pics…
Some different white orchids, plus a couple other colors joining in the fun.
I think these were my favorite orchids of the bunch, just beautiful. All of these orchids, and more, were at the Parc Phoenix in Nice, France. It was amazingly humid in that building where these were located, but definitely worthwhile to walk through and see them all, plus other things as well.

Palm trees and sunshine is a perfect Christmas for me. I won’t see it this year though, except in my dreams.😂😹😴Might get to see a little sun, but mostly cloudy today and tomorrow with a high today of -3 and -2 for tomorrow, that’s nice for us at Christmas, it’s usually colder.

Today, hopefully some baking, cake for sure, maybe some cookies too. And cleaning, I really need to do some cleaning. Hopefully get some pics later, very heavy clouds today though so it’s very dull outside, not good for my camera.😁😺📷🎂🍪

Actually I am a little, my grandmother (dad’s mom) was Irish, grandfather Scottish. So my dad was a mix of those 2 and my mom was Swedish. So I’m an Irish, Swedish Scottish Canadian.

I like board games. I’ve tried teaching Muffin Monopoly but she keeps running of with the tokens and playing hockey with the houses and hotels. Tried checkers, but again, hockey time. I would like to get a crokinole game, she would love that.

Sigh…. it was him telling me about a c-mas memory he had from Canada and he said that when it snows there – it REALLY snows!

Why the sigh? Yep, it can snow when it decides to. Last couple of winters we had 8 feet of snow, not all at once though. We can get a foot or two at a time though. Usually 10 to 16 inches, but it can do that several times a month.

Thanks, Steve. Going to a friend’s house for dinner. A quiet evening. The days are starting to get longer again…spring right around the corner. Already I’m seeing spring greens like watercress and Shepard’s purse starting to pop up.
