Happy Monday everyone on this cool morning! And, this is the last Monday of this year. I’m not sure what that means except that it’s the last Monday. Muffin was a bit more playful than normal today. She was last night too. She was just flying around here. Not exactly normal for her to be that way in the evening. Usually she waits until midnight. But she does have fun so that’s fine. I will likely mention this in more detail in another post. It’s still dark but I think it’s still cloudy out there. Lots of clouds this winter and yet not much snow, kind of odd for us, though it has been that way other winters too. Just not normal though. Our “snowstorm” yesterday gave us 1 inch (2.5cm) of snow. Not much of a storm though we were supposed to get more snow than that. Oh well.
But instead of snow, let’s have some brightness…
I thought these were an interesting flower, plus being a nice color too.
And some more beautiful orchids to help brighten a cloudy day.

Ever wonder why they call it snow fall? I know it falls, but that’s only temporary, then it lands. Why not call it a snow land?

That name goes back to the pioneer days when people wanted a skating rink. Originally the island was called Rockland. So they tried flooding a certain area with water, but someone left the tap open all night and flooded the island which then froze. So they changed the name for Rockland to Iceland.

😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOL!!! Now that’s one story I haven’t heard of! Did you just think that one up? Did you know that Iceland and Greenland are named wrong? Iceland is Green and warm (relatively speaking) and Greenland is frozen!

No.. i have the stereo on and the tv is on with American Pickers on. Mostly just chatting with you! Chatted with Sitting Bull a little bit ago. Interesting person… similar views as me on aging and getting older.

Stuff that sports players/athletes do, just various stretches, but more strenuous than the first ones I was doing. I got a good laugh about one he wanted me to try. Sit on the floor sort of cross legged, only you put your feet together, bottom of your feet, then push both knees down to the floor at the same time without moving your feet. I wouldn’t have been able to do that before! I couldn’t even get my feet together! Plus I need to start walking as much as possible without the cane now, I have already started that anyway just around the apartment. And less sitting too. Hard to describe some of these exercises. Marching on the spot, squats, go up on my toes then rock back onto my heels. There’s actually quite a list. Plus walking. Right. In all that ice and snow. The biggest indoor place for walking is Walmart. We used to have a mall that a lot of people used to walking, but that was torn down.

Then Wally World it is!! That one you described with your feet together is not an easy one to do! I have tried it several times and not made it to the floor with my knees! Keep up the effort… it’s starting to pay off!😁

Flowers are beautiful ! The darker coloured orchid is the same as mine…they are not hard to take care of…one ice cube weekly and not direct sun…
