Daily Pics 2020…#41

“Painted Lady” butterfly.

Good morning everyone on this beautiful Monday morning!  It’s a little milder this morning with a bit of light snow once again.  Well, we had a couple days of bird pics and we will have more of them coming up too, but today we will share some insect pictures.  Some people are not too excited about insects and some are not too colorful perhaps, but some are really quite colorful and interesting in so many ways.  So sometimes there will be insects added in too, plus flowers and even some beautiful summer scenery to give us a boost for our day.  Maybe I will even toss in some winter pics too for those who are fans of the winter season.  So there will be a mix of different things for a while.  And don’t forget, chapter 7 of our mystery story comes out today as well!

And now for our pics of the day…

Starting with some beautiful lilac flowers and a tiger swallowtail butterfly.  I love lilacs and there most beautiful scent, just too bad they have such a short season of blooming.IMG_4001

And here we have one of many different species of dragonflies in our area.  I love having them around when I’m sitting outside or walking through the forest.  They will keep flies and mosquitoes nicely away from me.

  4. Such lovely pics ! Yes, lilacs do not last long at my place…the aroma is delicate…very pleasing…enjoy the warmer weather as cooler temps are on the horizon !🌸🌷🌹😺😀😢

  6. I love lilac flowers too! Their scent is fantastic!
    I’m afraid of insects, the only one I’m ok with is the ladybug 🐞😉
    But I believe are incredible and I like to admire them from a certain distance 😉

    • Yes, some insects are not the best to see up close. Some are quite fascinating, like butterflies and dragonflies.😃🦋 I often have dragonflies sitting on my shoulder while out walking, especially during deer fly season which the dragonflies seem to really like. And deer flies always fly around a person’s head. We don’t have many butterflies anymore but there is a lot of dragonflies in a wide range of colors and varieties.😀

      • I like dragonfly but only from a certain distance 🤪 also in Singapore are pretty common but still I prefer the distance 🤪
        Spiders? Oh my…I have goosebumps only thinking at them 🤣

      • Yep, these kinds of insects are not everyone’s favorite. I’m okay with regular spiders, but when they get to be 10cm or larger like they are here, then that is just too much for me. And especially when I find them in my bedroom!😵🙀

    • Thank you Simon! Sometimes it is necessary to sit and watch for a while to get a picture! But that’s part of the fun. I think it’s a good day to stay inside wrapped in a blanket and drink lots of coffee! -38 and dropping.

      • Only have one heater for this place, so the bedroom gets a bit chilly in this weather. Also chilly by the window.🥶🥶 And it’s supposed to be colder tomorrow.😲😲🙀🙀

      • 🙄🤔 Seriously 😟 Why don’t you come to India, Like for few months 😄 untill your place gets warm enough 😋 You can also enjoy our beautiful weather 😁

      • I wish I could, but it would take something like 550 hours😲 to fly that far and I would be so terrified flying so long😬 I would be like a robot by the time the plane landed.😵 I could never eat all that spicy food either.🥵 But the main thing is, it’s too expensive.😂😹🙄
