Tiger lily

Good morning to all of you on this beautiful April day!  I had to check to calendar just to make sure it was April however since it is looking very white out there and the snow continues to fall.  And it’s supposed to continue all through the day.  However, my daily planner says that all I have to do today is stay inside anyway, so that works out rather well.  This kind of weather really seems to get Muffin worked up though, and that means she wants to play.  And run.  And fly.  And play some more.  I want to eat breakfast.  Muffin wants to play.  So we have a discussion about priorities.  I have the teeth marks in my feet to prove it.  After this discussion we play.  I can eat anytime.  I stop briefly to get a cup of coffee.  Muffin doesn’t like that idea.  She figures it’s not the time to stop.  Time for another discussion, but this time I’m putting my foot down, after all, this is coffee we’re talking about.  After I stop the bleeding we continue to play.  I can get a cup of coffee anytime.  Sigh.

And now for our bright and cheery summer flowers…

The centers of these dark hollyhocks glow like a light, even on cloudy days the center is still bright, but on a sunny day like this one it really shines.IMG_4830

And here is a beautiful pink hollyhock enjoying the late morning sunshine.

    • Thank you Saania! These tiger lilies also come in yellow, white and red. I used to grow all of them at one time. My landlord only has the orange.
      I will have a rabbit pic today in my mystery story.

  6. Good Morning Steve and Muffin! It sounds like Muffin has a bit of cabin fever. It sounds like a good day for snow shoeing or cross country skiing. It will eventually quit snowing. Enjoy your day! Love all your flower photos and their beautiful colors. Makes me anticipate transplanting flowers at the end of May!

    The Tiger Lily is beautiful as are the rest of the flowers but I particularly like the Tiger Lily.

    • We didn’t get much snow, half an inch, plus 3/4 inch of ice from the freezing rain.😳 But we had a lot of rain yesterday and last night, so guess we missed the main snow.

  13. Steve, your photography reminds me there is much beauty waiting in the months to come. I can hardly wait to return to my favorite nature parks after the virus abates. Muffin needs to understand about how some of us just have to have that first cup of coffee each morning.

    • Yes, I’m hoping this virus doesn’t keep going through the summer, but our government just told us today that it could last throughout the year with no let up. I sincerely hope they’re wrong.
      Muffin has a hard time with the coffee idea, she doesn’t even like the smell!😂😹😾

    • Thank you Vincent!😀 Yes, well, Muffin has a way of getting her “point” across!😾😸😹 So one discussion is enough usually, unless I’m wearing shoes.😂😹🙄

        And if I do get one, I don’t think I want to name him/her Muffin 😂😂 if I do name him/her Muffin, there would be a lot of meetings and my opinion might not 😂count

      • Pets are always a good idea, just make sure the pet isn’t bigger than you,😬 or you might be sleeping on the floor😴 or even out the door,😜 especially if you snore😲 or forgot the treats at the store!😳😾😾 Muffin is small and she already has claimed half the bed!😂😹

        I sometimes wonder about Muffin’s secret life.🤔 Does she use my laptop at night?😸 Is she communicating with her cat friends around the world?😺😻😹 (she has some).😳😳

      • There’s a lot of different dialects of “cat”, I’m okay with “meow”, 😁but not good with “mew”.🤔 I really think she does have a secret life, she understands things!😜 She wakes up when I’m doing an award post and she likes to watch,😸 but a regular post, she keeps right on sleeping!😳😲😂😹🤣😹
