Daily Pics #99.

From my vacation in France last year.

Good morning everyone on this rather cool start to our day.  Even a little snow to remind us that it’s still not fully spring yet.  But, it is coming fast, spring that is.  Hopefully anyway.  We get a nice day or two, then back to cold and this cold is supposed to last for awhile again.  Typical springtime here in the north country.  Muffin isn’t so happy though.  She gets to have the door open for a day, then closed again.  She doesn’t quite understand this idea that it has gotten colder again.  And it’s not easy to convince her.  It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday however.  The sky was an amazing blue.  There was so much bird activity.  Songs and chirps of all kinds filled the air in the morning.  A wonderful start to the day.  Then I got sick, which I will admit wasn’t so wonderful.  It kind of made me tired and slowed me down a bit.  Okay, slowed me down a lot.  Which is why there was no nature’s art yesterday.

Thanks to my friend Rossana in Italy for the following bright pics for our day…

Some nice bright yellow flowers of unknown variety.  If any of you living over that way have an idea what these flowers might be, let me know in the comments, thanks.IMG_1391

And what could be brighter than this sunflower seen another time from a different angle and still with it’s friendly little bee.  And against that bright blue sky, the brightness of the yellow really shines.  I hope you are all well, stay safe and God bless!

  1. Good Morning Steve, I think the second yellow flower is a sunflower. Here in the Far North it is 5 F with a forecast of warming up to just below freezing later today. It has been snowing nearly every day and we have 3 to 5 feet of snow on the ground. Looking forward to the midnight sun, warmer weather, in another month or so.

Trust you are feeling better today and enjoy the new day. 🙂

  2. I know that, it’s a flower variety and it’s 🤔 belongs to pink colour 🙄 right 🤔 or may be light yellow 🤔I know I’m close, still can’t figure out..☺️ convincing Muffin is tough it seems. Enjoy the day with her, hope this climate changes soon and the real spring come out to play. Have a beautiful day ✨💐

  3. I wonder how Ilona is doing these days. I haven’t heard from her in a long time…

I’ve only been to France once and I remember seeing similar plants. The first photo you posted from your trip to France, I call them Banana Trees. It’s a silly name but they really do remind me of bananas. It would be hilarious if they are actually called Banana Trees. 🍌🍌

    • I haven’t heard from Ilona in nearly 2 weeks. I hope she hasn’t gotten this virus. She does get sick a lot.
They do have banana trees over there too, I have a pic of them. They do look a bit different than these though. I should look through my pics and try to find those. I think I only took one picture of them. They actually had bananas on them, but they were very small and didn’t show up well in the pic.
How are you doing with all this stay at home time we have now? This new shopping experience is not a lot of fun. I don’t like shopping anyway, this just makes me not want to shop at all. Still have to though. Sigh.
Hope you are enjoying your day!😃😺🌞

      • Only 2 weeks? I haven’t heard from her since January! I did send her a letter and Idk if she ever got it….. I really hope that she decides to return to the blogging world. It is lonely without her presence! Yes, it is disturbing to hear how many cases of COVID-19 there are in France right now. Hopefully she is OK.

I am technically done the semester and am working on a side project for next semester. It’s a huge pharmacology excel list. I think I am on cell #150 right now. Like I said, huge list and I still have a long way to go. One of my courses for end of April has been released so I can start that paper anytime. Its a 5-day course that’s being delivered entirely online. I don’t want to deviate too much from school but at the same time, I haven’t been super motivated to do anything productive lately.

As for shopping, I don’t really enjoy shopping either and will only go out if I absolutely have to. The last time I went out, a huge fight broke out involving the police and I was scared that someone would shoot a gun. It was terrifying, and that happened at a local mall…. people at crazy I tell you.

      • I’ll send you an email later about that.
Yeah, being at home and having your routine shattered doesn’t help for motivation, that’s for sure. How do you like the online approach to teaching? Is it as good as class time or do you prefer the actual time in class for doing things?
Yeah, we had a fight break out in our Walmart over toilet paper. 2 ladies were really going at it and had ripped the package to pieces and were starting on each other so the police needed to be called. Hard to believe really. I wish people would just shop normally and there would be lots for everyone.
But this lining up outside and waiting your turn to get in is crazy. Then following all the arrows and barricades in the store so you can only go one way, terrible. I was going to pick up some grapes, the guy ahead of me had the same idea, but he sneezed on them, so I didn’t bother getting any. The lady ahead of him certainly left in a hurry after his sneeze! So much fun.😂😹🙄

    • My orchid is still blooming, but there are no more buds so guess it won’t be much longer. I’m feeling quite a bit better now, even ate finally. Could have been the flu or something I ate.🤔 Enjoy your evening!😃😺🌞🌙☕☕
