Problems With WP, Please Help!

This is my newest chipmunk, “Pocket”.

Good morning everyone!  I am a bit late today and I will be getting my Daily Pics out soon, but I needed to do this little post first.  I’m going crazy here trying to get things fixed and I have discovered I’m not the only one having problems.  The problem is this, I was wondering why I was not getting any comments yesterday, then discovered the comments were there but I was not receiving them in “notifications”.  I had to go directly to the comments page to receive the comments and send a reply.  Anyone else having this problem?  If so, please contact WP and tell them about it.  I did yesterday and wasted most of the afternoon trying to get things fixed.  But if more people contact them about it, the faster they will fix the problem because then they will see it’s not just an isolated problem.

If you have had this problem before and fixed it, please, please, let me know what to do!  “Likes” show up in notifications, but not comments, which is odd in itself.  I have a premium plan and since I pay for things, it would be nice to have things work.  This is not really a complaint, just a plea for help if you can by letting me know what to do or by contacting WP if you are having the problem.  Even if you are not having the problem, contact them to let them know your comments are not getting through to some blogs properly and give them a link to my blog.

But sometimes numbers do make a difference, which is why it’s important to let WP know that the problem exists.  Thank you so much everyone for your time and help!!  My daily pics will be out soon, I hope, plus the next chapter of my mystery story and another award post coming later.  I hope you all have a wonderful day, stay safe and God bless!

  4. I may have the problem and not even know. Tech and I just don’t get along most days. Probably why I don’t post for myself every often. On another note…that Skamper. is is about cute. We had chips in N. Ala. but not here. They are fun to watch.

    • Yes, sometimes their support team doesn’t help much, but if enough people get in touch with them, then they will fix the problem.
      Yep, Skamper is cute for sure, he crawls all over me!

  5. I wasn’t on WP yesterday, but based on what everyone is saying, it could have been a glitch on their end. Hopefully, the problem gets resolved soon! In the meantime, keep refreshing the page.

    • Yes, the problem is on their end, though they tried to tell me it was on my end, but as more people make a complaint they will realize it is their problem. I have been refreshing the page several times, doesn’t help. Did other things they told me, several times, didn’t help. But it’s because the problem is on their end. Sigh. Very inconvenient, I never know when a comment is coming in unless I check the comments page. Oh well. And it affects people with free and paid plans. Hope you have a great day, snowed here overnight so it’s all white again.😳😳🙀

  6. I am having the same problem – so thanks for letting me, and others, know it wasn’t just us. I have contacted tech support (but for some reason the chat function as not working, just email). I’ll let you know if I hear anything…

    • Thanks so much Jim! It seems like a widespread problem, that’s likely why the chat isn’t working, they are getting too many complaints to handle and that’s a good thing, maybe they will try harder to get things fixed quickly. Have a good day!

  8. You Still facing that? I humanically have not have to worry about it, I hardly got only 4 comments 🙄🤔 plus my stories, do you really like that 🙄 my views have dropped. I think I should stick to my humour and Life lessons 😳, I had one comment that did not show up. I fixed it my replying 😜. Let me be serious, I’ll escalate this right away!

    • Yes, it’s annoying, I get a lot of comments sometimes and need to know when they come in. Several of my followers are having the same problem too and we are all contacting WP. I was just chatting with them again and he didn’t know what was going on, but he’s looking into it, which means I probably won’t hear back.🤔🙄 Sigh. Hey, I like your humor and life lessons too, they’re great!😂😹 Thanks Simon!😁😸

      • My god I was not notified for this comments, but I’m getting notifications for Likes🤔 really bad. This WP team🙄. I’m a free user and will they respond if I even call them 😳, I guess I just have to try it anyway. No choice left. So are you saying my story writing is kind of boring 😜 u did not mentioned about that😂. By the way I’m missing your replies on my comments 😳

      • See, it’s not working for you either! Yes, even free users can contact them and get help. If you’re lucky one of their tech people will actually chat with you, but they seem to be quite busy right now so you might have to email.
        Hehe. 😄You’re story is very well written Simon,😀✍ but I have to admit I’m not really a horror fan.😲🙀 You’re writing is great though!😁

  9. Hey Steve! You need to redirect yourself to settings page, you’ll find lot of settings you should find out discussions and check email me whenever someone posts a comment. That way your mailbox will show up all the comments!. Meanwhile you can go with that. I’m still trying to figure out this notification thing. I’ll get back to you once done. If I did before tonight 🙄😳.

    • The notification part is the bell in the top right corner of your stats page, shows comments and likes. Yes, I have done the email check before but it has never worked for me from the beginning. Don’t know why. Wish I knew more about these things. Sigh.🙄😕

      • Actually email is also not working here You have made 3 comments and I was notified in my email about your likes. They are Missing a wire it seems. I suspect some rats on wp server which might have eaten up those comments wires, they should start doing things digitally 🙄🤔 no use of doing that too.😕. WP is going wrong at the wrong time 🙄😳 Let’s hope it clears tonight ✨👍

      • Yep, I get notified of likes only, not comments.🤔 Yes, this is the time when things really need to work properly.🙄😜 I think more than one wire is missing!🤪 But hopefully it gets cleared up soon.😁 Sigh.😕

    • Yep, I have done everything possible and WP is still working on it, I have been with them a lot today. There is quite a few others with the same problem too, all over the world! It’s annoying to pay for something that doesn’t work. Sigh.
