Now I know why we can’t get rid of these people!  I stop the car beside a small road.  Why are you stopping here?, asked Jenny.  I just want to check the map and see where this road will take us.  But we don’t want this road, we want to stay on the main road.  But this one might be better, I said, they probably wouldn’t think that we would take such a road.  But we need to get to this town before nightfall, protested Jenny as she pointed to a town on the map.  Forget that town, we won’t be going anywhere near it, if we follow along here we can stay away from all the main towns where they might be waiting for us.  NO, Jenny shouted, we need to stay on the main road!  Muffin, come here.  She comes over and I whisper something to her.  Now, get in your pet carrier.  Meow.=Okay.  Then off we go with Jenny still protesting.

Why are you so upset Jenny?  I have been thinking about this for a long time now.  Every time we go somewhere, this organization knows and they are waiting for us.  How is that possible?  They must have good intelligence in their organization, said Jenny, still obviously upset.  Not that good, I answered, it really isn’t a very large organization, I read through all the papers and evidence about it.  Where are those papers, demanded Jenny.  They’re safe, was all I said.  That organization had help, someone was giving them information.  And who would that be?, asked Jenny in a very sarcastic tone.  I picked every one of those helpers myself, she added, I trust all of them.  No doubt you do trust them, I said, but it wasn’t any of them, I trust them too.  And each of them only knew part of the plan anyway.  It had to be someone who knew all of the information, I would say it was the head of this organization.

What?!  What are you saying?!, said Jenny as she glared at me with obvious hatred in her eyes.  It’s you, I said, you are the only one who knew everything.  I don’t know what you are trying to do with all this mystery, but it’s going to stop…today.  What do you mean?, she asked angrily.  Let me out of here!!, she screamed.  Don’t bother trying, I said, I rigged the door and window so they won’t open.  I have already given the papers to someone I trust and if she doesn’t hear from me in the next 48 hours, then she will give the papers to the right authorities.  And I’m going to make sure you are stopped right now, before anyone else gets hurt or killed.  What are you planning to do with me?  And you are driving way too fast on this narrow road, that’s at least a 500 foot drop over the edge, she screamed again!  Probably more, I said, and we’re going over the edge on this next curve.

Jenny’s eyes grew huge at that point.  You’re absolutely crazy, you’ve gone mad!  We will all die, she continued screaming!  Muffin and I are willing to die to stop you and your organization.  Meow!=Right!  We came to the curve and over we went!  I imagine the screams could be heard quite a distance as the car rumbled over the rocks then started to roll, finally bursting into flames and exploding as it continued rolling to the bottom.  Muffin’s pet carrier had been thrown from the car and smashed to pieces on the rocks below.  Then silence.  All was still and quiet.  I can’t believe you did that, said Jenny after we had finished checking ourselves.  Both Jenny and myself were scratched and bleeding, only Muffin came out with no scratches.  Muffin and I had practiced falling in different ways just to be prepared. 

I figured there must be some kind of transmitter on the car and on us, that was giving our whereabouts to this organization all the time.  And both mine and Muffin’s backpacks had a transmitter on them, and so did Jenny’s belt.  We destroyed all three of them.  But now…

  2. SEE? I told you!! She was a sneaky lady! I’m glad you both are alright! You better take that Jenny Lady right to the cops! Throw her in jail! Bread and Water only for her! BTW? Why does she want to kill you? She hired you! I am very confused now!🥴🤔 Now I’ll need to read the next chapter!

  5. Going over a cliff ? For a good reason I know, but that was pretty drastic ! You trust Jenny ? And so does Muffin ? Hmmm…there will be more trouble ahead ! ☕️☕️🕵️‍♂️🙀😼🤔☕️☕️

    • Sometimes drastic is the best way to go! One can learn a lot that way. More trouble for sure, this isn’t over yet!

  7. That was action packed 😳✨I remember you saying that you don’t watch movies right? But this scenes are just like watching a movie 😍✨👏 Well done Steve, totally loved it ✨🤗 so the transmitters have been destroyed, so what’s next 🤔 You have a long walk ahead? Or you just thinking about calling for some air help? Apart from travelling what’s the next phase of this case? Buying a new carrier for Muffin?     • Thanks so much for that Simon! That was good for a nice adrenaline rush flying over the edge and jumping out of the car. Jenny almost didn’t make that one. But what is next? A long walk for sure, I don’t have the right connections to call for a helicopter to get us out of there and we can’t really trust anyone, so now what?🤔 We are on the run.🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🐱‍🏍 Can I trust Jenny?🤔😳 Muffin says yes.😺 But I’m not sure if she is thinking right, she has matchmaking on her mind.😻 Next chapter might not seem as exciting, but….😳😳

    • I’m with you, I don’t trust her either right now, or anyone, except Muffin. But Muffin still trusts Jenny. Although I think she has matchmaking on her mind.😻
