Daily Pics #129.

Good morning everyone on this very frosty Friday!  Hard to believe this weather, sunny skies and a high of only 6C (43F) and even colder weather coming over the weekend.  But warmer weather is on the way by next Friday!  Muffin is definitely not one happy kitty.  She does not understand this concept of sunshine and yet she can’t have her door or window open to enjoy the fresh air.  She figures that if the sun is shining and making it warm in here, then it must be warm outside.  It’s very hard to convince her that sunshine does not make for warm weather. 

She just looks at me with that funny look she gets.  Then she looks at my feet and swishes her tail.  And I run for my shoes as fast as I can!  And sometimes I make it too.  We have fun around here at times, even though my feet don’t always agree.  Since I didn’t go for a walk yesterday, I decided to try for some pics of the local bird population around the feeders.  Didn’t work out so well.  Those little birds don’t like to sit still and it’s very difficult to focus on a moving object.  Oh well, there’s always today.

And now some more spring bird pics to share, though no different species…

Above is another different pic of the “common loon”.  There was a couple of them flying around above the apartment yesterday morning, laughing away, while another one from the river hollered back to them.IMG_4057

Up, up and away says this mallard in the pic above.  They are a nice colorful duck and usually not very afraid of people either.

    • Wow, I thought you would have steady summer temps by now. Our weather has been getting steadily colder for the past 20 years, summers are so short now.

That was one a confused climate over there, I think the climate spring and winter got into a fight it seems, they both are doing something and we have consequences, and for no reason they chose this may month to perform their fight🙄😜 Convincing Muffin seems tougher than other tasks it seems😜 Beautiful pictures..     • Thanks so much Simon!😀😺 Yep, Muffin is hard to convince sometimes. She sees her patch of sunshine and it’s nice and warm, so she thinks it’s warm outside too.😼 Sigh. My poor feet.😕

  6. Today got busy in cleaning 🤗 super tired I’m sure I’m going to fall asleep soon today 😉 my cat lost one of her kitten heart broken to see her cry and search for it. How can we explain that kitten was ate by dogs 😱 this is why sometime I hate dogs 😕 This is why I don’t own pets. Sorry I just wanted to tell to someone 😳 Enjoy the day Steve 🦟🤗

  9. Steve, your photos are beautiful. I feel for you having cold weather. It is time for warmer!!! After 8 plus months of cold and super cold subzero F temperatures with permanent snow, we are finally seeing warmer temperatures here in the Far North. It got up to 70 F yesterday and is 61 F now. I am so happy to see the snow melting! It still is cold at night but warmer is better.
