Good morning to everyone on this fine Sunday!  And especially this morning for all the mother’s out there who are reading today!  I hope that you mother’s will have an especially good day!  We all need to be thankful for our mother’s, after all, they have done so much for us.  If you are not living at home, then give your mother a call, talk to her for awhile, let her know how special she is on not only this day, but every day.  And if there is no lockdown in your area of the world, then try to get together with your mother, spend some time with her.  Mother’s are a special gift from God for us, let’s treat them as special.  For me, my mother passed away a long time ago now, in 1993 actually, she wasn’t very old at the time either.  There are many like me who have lost their mother’s, but we still have our memories of them which is a blessed thing indeed.  My mother’s favorite indoor plant was the African violet.

So I hope you don’t mind if today’s pics are from my collection of African violets…

    Thanks for sharing photos of African Violets, your mom’s favourite.
    I love these beautiful plants too.
    This year, when real flowers are unavailable to many of us, these pictures cheered us. Thanks 🤗

    • Hi Sally, so glad that you enjoyed these photos. African violets have been my favorite indoor plant for a long time, probably get that from my mom. They are so easy to look after and bloom most of the winter which is a real bonus in our country!

  4. Lovely pictures! It’s not Mothers’ Day everywhere today which is kind of a shame. France’s is in early June before Father’s Day.

    • Thanks Sheree! Yes, I knew it was in June in France, just couldn’t remember which day. Some countries don’t have it at all which is too bad. Would be nice if it was on the same day everywhere. Father’s day is the third Sunday of June here, which Sunday in France?

    • Thank you! They really are quite easy to look after. Not much direct sun, north or east window is best, water once a week and a fertilizer now and then. My biggest problem here is I only have south and west windows, so I have to keep them away from the windows so they don’t get that direct sun.

      • Yes, things are coming back to life here and that requires more diligence as the cases are increasing. We will have to see what the next 2 weeks will bring.
        The day is going very well so far. Thank you so much for the well wishes.

      • We’re still locked down here until May 19 anyway, then they will review things, but cases are still high in our province though not here in the north for which we are thankful.

      • It’s super hot and a lazy day. I spent full day reading a book about to finish in 2 hrs 😍 Feeling of a day spent well 😁 Hope yours is going good ☺️😉👍 Hope you are good and warm 🤗

      • It’s cloudy and cold today, strong wind makes it feel even colder. But it’s nice indoors, have some new birds coming to the feeder, just can’t get a picture. Will have to sit out there for awhile to get a good pic. It’s a beautiful day!😁😸🌞☕☕📷

      • Good Idea, just sit there take pictures. And don’t think about trying those weird positions lying down on floor to take pictures 😉 and don’t slip that coffee cup near by 🤔 or is it one near by? 🙄 just checking out. Have fun😁😜😂

      • Finished my coffee for the day,☕ now it’s water until tea time later.💧 Mint tea that is.
