These guys were not very punctual, which was a good thing, gives more time for Muffin.  They finally showed up around 10:30 and took me to a house on the edge of a small town.  They pushed me into a small bedroom and I landed on the floor.  I picked myself up and laid down on the bed.  Shortly after they pushed Jenny into the room as well.  She was sitting on the floor, crying, she had been beaten quite badly.  I help her onto the bed.  I guess I was wrong about Jenny, she obviously doesn’t work with these guys.  They keep asking me where that black case is, she said, and I tell them I just don’t know.  I did tell them that you had it which is why they went to get you.  I’m sorry, she said, crying.  That’s okay, it was bound to happen sooner or later.  Did they get Muffin too?  No, she was off somewhere at the time they picked me up, but I don’t know what’s going to happen to her now.

That’s too bad, she said, I feel responsible for that.  Don’t worry about it, I said, things happen.  Finally a guy comes in named Freddie.  He’s about 6′ 5″ tall and weighs about 300 lbs, and he’s not at all fat.  Another guy comes in and asks me where that black case is located.  I just said “forget it”.  And beating me won’t get you an answer either.  We wouldn’t think of it, said the smaller guy, we’ll just keep beating your girlfriend here until you tell us what we want to know.  Then they took Jenny to another room where I could hear the screams as they beat her.  Then she was tossed back in the room.  Hmm, they did a good job, guess I shouldn’t disappoint these people.  Please Steve, tell them where it is, I can’t take anymore of this, said Jenny.  A very simple hiding place, I said, under one of the seats in the last plane.  What?!  Jenny called for Freddie.  Did you guys search that plane?  Yeah, we looked everywhere.  Under all the seats?  All but the back one, said the smaller guy, after all that’s a dumb place to hide something valuable.  The most simple place is often the best place, I said.

Call the pilot and tell him to get here quick!  You don’t seem surprised Steve?  No, not at all, I can tell real bruises from fake ones.  He’s away and can’t make it here until 11 tomorrow morning, said the smaller guy.  Well, looks like you get to live until then, said Jenny.  I can get rid of him now boss, said Freddie.  We have to wait and make sure he’s telling the truth.  However, teach him a little lesson anyway.  Sure thing, says Freddie.  After his “lesson” I could barely move.  It was a long night.  Did Muffin find help?  Is she okay?  This isn’t looking good.  Morning arrived and it seems the pilot will be here a little sooner than he thought.  Not good.

Muffins new friends were up and on their way with Muffin at 3am and got to Rossana before 9.  Muffin was so excited to see Rossana!  Meow, meow!=Must work fast, my human in big trouble!  The older lady handed Muffin’s backpack to Rossana and refused to take more than what they needed for expenses to drive there.  Muffin said good bye to her new friends, then she opened the top pocket of her backpack and pulled out a letter to Rossana.  She could barely believe what she was reading, then she took out the papers that had been in the black case, plus the jewels that had been hidden in the lining of the case.  Millions of dollars worth of diamonds, emeralds and rubies!  Muffin got Rossana’s attention to take off Muffin’s collar and Muffin pushed one of the buttons on it.  That showed a link to my watch so they knew where to look for me.  That’s not far from here, said Rossana!

Jenny came back into the room and tossed the black case at me!  It’s empty, she yelled.  Naturally, I wasn’t going to leave all those jewels in there, someone might steal them, I said.  He needs another “lesson” Freddie, but I want him able to talk.  After that “lesson”, I wasn’t sure if I would ever talk again.  Jenny comes back in.  Well, ready to talk now?  I look at her and manage to say, “Too late Jenny”.  I close my eyes…

That’s simply Wow😍 So Jenny is innocent, and you are super crazy to show them an empty box so that you can got good hit from then 🙄 can’t believe you 😳 are they giving you an award 😕 😂😂 but seriously what’s up with Rosanna 🤔 is she going to rescue you 😳 she is a detective too? 🤔 Can’t remember you mentioned about her before 🤔 or did you 🙄 I think my memory is getting weaker🙄😳 can’t remember lot 😕😜 But seriously where is the jewel is it with Rosanna 🤔 or you just simply keeps on your pocket. Are they dumb enough to not to check your pocket 😂😜 so with lot of questions, I’m waiting 😍 Thank you so much for posting this so early ✨🤗 Looking forward for more surprises 😍😍✍️

    • I think you read too fast Simon, Jenny isn’t innocent, she works with the bad guys, actually their leader, though I didn’t mention that part yet.🤔 Rats.🙄 Oh well, now you know ahead of time!😁 Rossana was in one of my stories about the palace in Italy, she is a detective with the police force.👮‍♀️ Muffin had the jewels in her backpack, now Rossana has them.😁 But can they make it in time? I was just stalling for time telling them about the empty case, even though that was dangerous to do.😲 It’s almost time, or is it already too late?😬 When I told Jenny it was too late, did I….?😿😳

      • Now that’s a super insult 🙄😭 Okay I agree I read super fast, 😁 but I did cover everything except the jewels that was hidden on the lines 😳🙄🤔 how did I miss that 😳 I’m simply getting bad at reading 😕 so now I remember Rosanna yes, the super detective! How did I forgot that 🤔 Seriously 🙄 why so I always forget in first place 😱 Okay, enough crying. 😅 Yes I did read fast, but it’s a good twist 😉👌 don’t post it tomorrow 🙄 How about a joke tomorrow 😁😉 And day after this part 😉👍

The jewels.😄💎💎 I can understand not remembering Rossana, that was quite a while back, there’s a lot happens in these stories.😁😸 Sometimes I think maybe I should write a longer story,😀✍ going down to the A….nearly gave it away again.       • Hi Steve, It’s going good so far, I’ll be starting new Job from Monday, This weekend is going to be awesome 😍 No work nothing to do ☺️😜 except blogging. One of the most important weekend of the year 🤔 why so? Did I forgot something 🙄 again 🤔

      • I thought it was Monday, so you get all this extra time for blogging and cleaning and dusting and blogging!😁😸😜
        This is the big long weekend, the start of the tourist season,😁 the biggest gardening weekend of the year.👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 Monday is Victoria Day, for queen Victoria.💂‍♂️💂‍♀️👑 It used to be our biggest holiday with fireworks,🧨🎆🎇 parades, fairs🎡🎠🎢🎪 and such. Bigger than our official Canada Day.😃 Not many people even know what the day is now,🤔 just that it’s another holiday.😁😜 No tourism start this year either really,😕 though marinas can now be open.🚤🛥⛵ Garden centers and greenhouses are sort of open,🥒🍅🍓🥬🥦🥕🌸🌺🌻🌼🌱 this is normally their biggest weekend for sales, but plants have to be ordered online this year and then pick them up, so that will slow sales a lot.😬 Fishing season starts tomorrow also.🐬🐟🐠🐡

      • Wow Steve, So it’s going to be a big weekend!!! ✨💐yay!!! So what kind of plants you are going to buy? Ans are you planning to go any of these places as it’s now Open, I think. Garden centre and green houses😉👍

      • Unfortunately they are only partly open, we have to order online and then go pick them up. Not as much fun as looking around the greenhouse and picking out the plants I want.😜 I’m not sure what to buy yet, prices are a lot higher this year so won’t be able to buy much,😲 plus my deck is small. But we’ll see, I’ll make an order today probably.😁😸🌺🌻🌼🌱

      • If the deck is small, how about save some money 😉 so you’ll be spending these special days inside 🙄 how bad, it’s sad how Corona is been a reason for losing so much of fun. I think the count s are getting better but now, I’m sure your country will make it to zero very soon. My country did lost the battle, they are only trying to cheat themselves and hiding the community spread. Not a clue, and from Monday all works resumes 😂 I’m sure the count is going to rise up. 😕 Wish they ll do something to reduce it ☺️👍

      • The numbers have gone down a lot here this past couple of weeks so some stores will be allowed to open on Tuesday,🙂 but will have to follow strict social distancing rules.🤔 Smaller stores are complaining they won’t be able to open if they have to do that, they don’t have enough space in their stores.😕 But if the numbers go up then they will close things down again. School won’t open until late August at the earliest.🤪
        I’m surprised your country is opening, I thought it was getting a lot worse over there.🤔🙄

      • It’s getting lot worse and my state is at second top place. Fighting to be number one state with highly skilled leaders. 🙄🤔 we have bunch of 🤔😕 ok I am not saying that. No use of talking that way. But honestly we need a big change. Tea seller became country leader gangster became state leader. Now you know why we are leading ☺️👍

  6. Steve, you know how to tell a good story and keep the reader in suspense. The only thing I wonder about is how you keep going. You get shot in an earlier story, have the tunnel fall in on you and get seriously beaten, always gotten drugged and miss out on your sleep. I will call you SUPER STEVE!

    • Well, I get to rest up between cases though. But did I keep going this time? Will Muffin bring help in time? Or has time gone? The next chapter will tell!😳😿

  13. I know Jenny was faking it when she asked where’s Muffin. I mean come on why does she need to be in another room to get beaten? If I was the bad guys I’d beat her right in front of you… I’m loving this idea. Where’s the whip! 😁
