Daily Pics #157.

Good morning everyone! How are you all today? I hope your day is going great, Happy Friday! The sun is shining once more and it’s another beautiful time sitting on the deck with my coffee and listening to the many birds singing away. Many of them have been singing steadily since before I got up this morning, which was 4:40, but I had been listening to the birds singing for a while prior to that. The loons were a bit early this morning flying overhead and laughing before I got outside, so I guess they are not laughing at me. The loons were very busy calling back and forth this morning. It sounded like a couple were on the river and more out on the lake answering them. They do seem to have a good time with their communication back and forth, which they do on a regular basis.

The mourning warbler has been singing since just after I got up, hasn’t taken a break. They have such a pretty song and such an odd name. This is the first morning I haven’t heard the phoebe singing. Now suddenly everything has gone completely quiet, not a sound from any bird out here, quite amazing. Usually that means a common predator, such as a hawk, is around. But I don’t see anything. That quiet will also happen when a bad storm is approaching, but there is nothing except blue sky and sunshine out here. Now they have started singing again, it must have been a predator.

And now for some nice bright flower pics to share with you:

This first one you will likely recognize quite easily, the daffodil. It is such a beautiful and sunny flower and here it is in the morning sun.

This next flower, in the pic above, is the bearded iris. It’s actually a darker purple than what shows in the pic, but that’s because it’s enjoying the early morning sun shining on it.
