Good morning everyone and a Happy Monday to all of you as well! It’s a nice morning here, though mostly cloudy again. There are some patches of blue sky showing and the sun did shine briefly earlier. But it’s supposed to be another wet day. Sir George was the first gull here this morning and Lady Pearl showed up shortly after. There wasn’t any food for her though since the crows finished off what little Sir George left behind. However, since he is a gentlebird, he shared his breakfast with her. But I brought more out for them anyway and they both promptly came and devoured it, which the crows were not too happy about. Then Sir Henry showed up sitting on the feeder and looking in the window at me, so I went out with some food for him too. He has earned his title of “Sir” now, he has become just as friendly as Sir George.

Didn’t hear the loons this morning, but perhaps they will come by a little later. My robin has been singing steadily for about 2 hours now, perhaps longer since he could have been singing for quite a while before I got up this morning. Gopher, the squirrel, has been busy this morning taking advantage of the fact the other 2 squirrels are not here yet. And all the chipmunks are here this morning. I also discovered there is another chipmunk around, since 3 showed up with long tails, plus short tailed Pocket. I only named Skamper and Skitter, so now I need a name for the new one and since all three are brave, I need to find a difference in this new chipmunk so I don’t get them mixed up. So far he looks like a twin to Skamper. Oh well, let’s look at our pics for today, the first one at the top is a bud of the peony.

In the pic above is a huge light pink peony, my landlord has a couple bunches of these huge ones and they are her oldest peonies.

In this next pic above is another pink variety, but much smaller than the others. However, equally as beautiful as their larger cousins. Well, there we have today’s pics which hopefully you will enjoy. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and God bless!

    • They are very beautiful. Those large flowers are from a plant that is about 60 years old. Though it didn’t take that long to start flowering nicely I’m sure.

  4. I don’t know how you can recognize them so easily 🐿 🤪 but I’m sure studying them you notice all the differences 😉

    • Well, squirrels are easy, very seldom are they exactly alike, colors vary so much on squirrels, quite amazing really, especially their tails.😁
      Chipmunks, however, are generally quite identical, not much variation with them at all, normally none. So I have to look for other characteristics to tell them apart.🤔🐿🐿🐿🐿

    • Unfortunately my plans got all messed up for tomorrow, but I think Muffin is planning something,🤔😸 she’s doing her own post today, maybe she will tell about it then.😼 I need to get my new chapter finished for my story. I better get going!😬😳✍✍
