Daily Pics #191.

Good morning to everyone! It is a cloudy and cooler morning but still very nice to be out on the deck. Sir Charles, my early gull with a new name finally, was here first as usual and he enjoyed his breakfast while I stood there talking with him. Then the crows came and finished off what was left, which wasn’t much today. Then Sir George and Lady Pearl came for their breakfast and again didn’t leave much for the crows. Sir Henry doesn’t often come in the morning, he’s my afternoon gull for the most part. Pocket was first at the peanuts this morning, nearly always it’s Runner who is first. Skamper was second to show up. After putting out the second batch of peanuts, Skamper was there and Runner finally showed up and the chase was on! Little Skamper can turn faster and made a complete turn around and started heading back while Runner kept going. Then he suddenly realized Skamper was gone and he slid around and took off after him. But Skamper had a good lead by then so Runner gave up quickly. Then came Pocket and the chase was on again! Round and round the planters until Runner was running around by himself while Pocket grabbed a couple peanuts and was gone before Runner figured out what had happened. Runner still gets his share of the peanuts though and sometimes almost catches those chipmunks, but I hope he never does.

Well, a cloudy morning means that we should have some nice bright flowers, like the bright yellow “marigold” at the top and the bright orange “marigold” below. These are popular garden flowers and around here are especially good since deer don’t like to eat them, and with all the deer around here that is a good thing.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

    • Yep, I thought it was time for him to have the title Sir since he’s getting quite tame, and Charles was the first name to come to mind, and it sounded good.

  3. Just a friendly reminder that my blog does still exist and will for one more month and it would really be appreciated if you would check up on it every once in a while. There’s 4 posts you haven’t seen. Just saying… I don’t like to be back logged more than 3 posts on a person’s blog. If you don’t want to, I completely understand. Like I said, it was just a friendly reminder.

    • Yes, I know, I am way behind in my blog reading right now, 4 posts isn’t bad, I’m much further behind than that on some blogs! I can’t keep up with even 100 blogs these days and I have over 700 followers. I don’t know how you keep up with them all. I am spending a lot of my day lying down fighting this fatigue that has hit me and that has put me way behind on my reading. I might have to take a break for awhile if this doesn’t clear up soon. Always something it seems.

      • That’s fine. You don’t have to if you aren’t able. Yeah. 4 posts ain’t bad.
All I know is, I’m slowly unsubscribing from more and more blogs everyday. I have no clue how many I’m down to following now.
That’s sad. So sorry you’re going through that. I really hope you’re okay.

      • This fatigue is really wearing me out, I even sleep during the day, unheard of for me. I can be doing something and suddenly I stop, it’s kind of like everything shuts down, so I lie down and sleep. I can’t even concentrate to read or write. I collapsed a couple times out walking to the river and had no strength to get up. So far my doc hasn’t found out what the problem is. Oh well, things happen when you get old.
