Good morning everyone on this very cool Wednesday! But the sun is shining beautifully, the sky is such a wonderful, bright blue and at the moment there is just a light breeze. Sir Charles was here bright and early this morning and managed to finish his breakfast just a few minutes before Sir George and Lady Pearl showed up. Sir Henry never did show up this morning. Even though it is a cool morning, I decided to spend time on the deck with my coffee, which cooled off rather quickly unfortunately. But watching the sunrise as I sat there made it a perfect morning. The sun hits the tops of the maples on the hill first but very quickly lands on the tops of the tall black ash trees down here at the bottom of the hill. That early morning sunshine really makes those leaves glow so beautifully against the blue sky.

Skamper was the first chipmunk this morning, but Coffee wasn’t far behind, then Pocket and Skatter showed up. Skitter doesn’t seem to like coming early, he always shows up after breakfast. Runner didn’t bother the chipmunks this morning, he was too busy fighting with Jasper all morning. So the chipmunks were quite happy, even though the crows tried a few times to scare them into giving up their peanuts. Doesn’t work though, those little chipmunks just chase the crows, all except Coffee who is the smallest, he will run from the crows. Those crows have become pests unfortunately and have scared most of the smaller birds away now. Only a few goldfinches and 2 purple finches remain. Plus my hummingbirds, there are at least 3 of them. Even all my blue jays have gone, and that is sad. But hopefully they will be back in the fall.

Now for our pics for today, for the top featured image is an unknown garden flower, but it’s so bright and cheery sitting in the sun. If anyone knows the name of this flower, please let me know, thank you!

And in the above pic is the “ageratum”, a smaller, low growing garden flower that is great for putting in the front of a flower garden or alongside a sidewalk or path. They bloom nicely all summer and don’t require a lot of care. I used to have them in my garden each year. This far north they are only an annual plant.   4. Such beautiful flowers ! It is cooler here this morning, but should be a lot warmer tomorrow…the only birds around here at this time are the robins, chickadees, crows and sparrows…☕️☕️😢🙂🐿🥜😻

  6. This should be yellow Lantana camara. I’m not a flower expert, may be my assistant Google is 😜. correct us if we are wrong, it’s a team Work ,😉😂. These crows needs some lesson, always disturbing other species around. Do these crows come on winter too? 🤔 And coming to Einstein, I’m not agreeing with his time is relative, but I agree at one thing, you guys are mostly early, which means I’m not proving any science here, but I’m making some Senseless statement 🙄 Whatever I’m trying to say 😵 I messed up. Gud N8 Steve 😜😹

    • Hmm, I will check out that flower, that name sounds familiar, thanks Simon!😃 Yes, the crows are here in winter too, but I’m not going to feed them so they should go away.
