For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Brightly colored, flying past,
Wings so light, yet move you fast.
Every way, eyes look around,
Watching close, where food is found.
Moving forward, even back,
Up and down, you sure don’t lack.
Colorful, you sparkle bright,
Sometimes though you give a fright.
Sitting still, you land on me,
Your smiling face then I see.
Wondrous patterns, bright and fair,
I can see them everywhere.
Up you go and fly away,
Please come back another day.

This brings some beautiful childhood memories. Dragonfly are my closest friend back when we live in the rainforest π

That’s cool Jessica! Must admit, when I was a kid I did not like them, those terrifying dragons in the air attacking me! But I learned how cool they are and started to like them.ππΈπππ©

Oh I was the opposite. I hang out a lot beside the lake and there’s a bunch of them there. They often use my hair as swing and eats the grass in my hands. Same grass that grow just beside me π

Wow, that’s really cool. They often sit on my shoulder when I’m walking waiting for a fly to come along for lunch. And it doesn’t take long for another dragonfly to take it’s place, sometimes sitting on my hat or just flying along with me.ππΊππ©

That’s so beautiful π. I can remember 8 yr old dead dragon fly discovered behind my window gap π. I love dragon flies sadly we don’t have much here to show my brother’s kids how a real dragon fly looks like

I was afraid of this little creature because it would get caught in my hair…now I welcome them ! βοΈβοΈπππΊ
