Good morning and Happy Saturday everyone! It is definitely a cool and wet morning here today, such a difference after yesterday’s warmth. It was too cool for sitting outside this morning so I enjoyed my coffee indoors instead. However, that meant I missed all the fun and frolicking of the chipmunks and squirrels today. I have discovered there are now 7 chipmunks coming for peanuts now, the word is getting out! Some chipmunk is out there advertising this wonderful peanut take-out place. They must talk to each other, how else does the news travel out there to chipmunks that don’t live anywhere near this deck? There is still one other chipmunk that hasn’t discovered the peanuts yet.

That one is a sibling to Coffee, they came together and were often on the hill playing together when they first showed up. Now they chase each other away if they are too close to one another. The other chipmunk is content with staying up on the rock hill gathering natural food for the winter. But he certainly hasn’t grown like Coffee has over the past month. Coffee is still the smallest of my chipmunks though and will stay that way for this year. The new chipmunk, I call him Stubby because half his tail got chopped off somehow like Pocket’s tail, is the same size as the other regulars, Skamper, Skitter and Skatter. The two largest are Pocket and Chester, with little Coffee coming in last. The other little chipmunk I call Rocky since he loves being up on the rock hill. Chipmunks love rocks, there is always lots of great places to hide from danger.

Well, for our pics today a couple of wildflowers that most people call weeds and generally have a great dislike for them. But they are nice and bright and if someone is wanting a nice wildflower look, these are a good addition. The featured image at the top is the “Evening Lychnis”, kind of an odd name but really quite a nice looking and very bright white flower. As it’s name implies, it comes out in the evening, blooms through the night and well into the next morning. Then the flower below is the “Canada Hawkweed” which really isn’t a weed at all, but I guess because it resembles dandelions they added the ‘weed’ into it’s name. It’s actually hard to know why certain names are used. These flowers grow up to about 4 feet (120cm) tall though usually about 2 to 3 feet (60 to 90cm).

Is it s wet morning 🤔 Are you sure you woke up in Canada 😉 was it hot yesterday? oh yes, then yeah you are in same place 😁. ever smoked that😅 to say it’s not weed 😅😂😂 I wonder how people discovered that, Before discovering a weed, how many plants people would have tried smoking how many leaves 😸😸 so curious to know that 😂😅. nice flowers, have you fixed your bird feeder?😉 Have a wonderful day Steve ✨🤗

    • No, haven’t fixed the bird feeder yet, it will be a while before I start,🤔 still need to figure out how to do it so I can still put food out without falling to the ground!😲😳
      Yep, nice yesterday,😎 cool today,😬 a bit of sun but mostly cloud. And strong north wind. But warmer weather is coming back Tuesday for the rest of the week! Have a good night!😁🌙😴

      • How about get a small staircase like stool which you can climb and move at ease 😉 but it should be at least 6 ft so that you can climb 😉🤔 not sure they sell that big in market 🤔😁 Keep trying for some plans so that you can do it safely 😃🤗

      • I won’t climb ladders,😲 I learned my lesson on that one!😬 But I think I might have a good idea,🤔 but I will need to buy some wood now to do it, maybe later this week.😁

      • maybe you can hide the bird feeders for a while until you get some time 😃🤔 bad idea 🤔 anything that save some dollars for you is good 😇

  8. Well, I missed that last part, what happened 😳 have you tried anything for bird feeder 🙄 don’t tell yes for that. please take care, did you speak to your doctor? did you complete your latest checkup? 🤔

    • Thank you so much! I am feeling much better today, though I keep getting dizzy. Hopefully I can get out for a walk today.
