Good morning everyone! It’s a nice cool morning, partly cloudy and seems to be some smoke in the air. I can’t smell it, but it’s noticeable when the sun shines, it gets to be an odd glowing color outside. As of yesterday afternoon there were two fires close to our town, one is 32 km (20 miles) east of us and another is 15 km (9miles) west of us. Both are small and out of control. There have been 465 forest fires in our province so far this year and conditions are getting drier in the forest every day. None of the current fires are very large though, with the biggest at around 3,000 acres and in the far north. Poor Jasper, he likes to sit on the one hanging bird feeder and eat the sunflower seeds. He seems to like them more than peanuts.

Anyway, he was having problems yesterday. He would jump over to the feeder like normal, the first time was a perfect jump and he held on, but needed to position himself to eat, so he tried to move but the feeder was swinging quite a lot and…down he went…plop! He came back up and tried again. This time he missed and…down he went…flump, belly flop! Up he comes and jumps again, made it! Oops, he slipped…down he went…flomp! I could just imagine the look on his face as he went down that time. But up he came and jumped once more and…he missed…down he went with a louder plop this time. Each drop is 8 feet, poor Jasper. Must be getting a sore stomach by now. Up he came. By the way, squirrels can fall like this without getting hurt, their light weight and practice helps them.

This time I managed to coax him over for a peanut instead. He ended up eating 6 peanuts. All that activity made him hungry. I wonder if he will give up now? The featured image at the top is Jasper, I just had to include a picture of him after all he went through.

And in the photo above is a petunia, they are a very popular annual garden flower and provide wonderful color all summer long. I hope you all have a great day and God bless!

      • Btw… I was live when you posted your chapter, but I was really nice and let someone else win and I still haven’t read it.
        A huge summery of my excuse is I had a medical…. Hmmmm…. Emergency🤔 kinda. I came close to death….kinda🤔 anyway, it was scary. To know more, you’ll have to be around this weekend to see the vlog I’ve worked so hard on the past few weeks.
        Speaking of my blog…. Oh what every. I won’t remind you.🙄

        Whatever a v log is.
        I can’t get notifications from your blog for some reason, I have given up, so if you don’t remind me…
        I’m behind on everyone’s blogs, way behind, I’ll never catch up so I’m just going to start over and hopefully I can stay caught up. But it will depend on whether I ever get back to normal or not.

        🙄Oh. My. Word. Another person that doesn’t know what a vlog is!!! A vlog is a video type of blog. It could be a day in your life, a week, etc… it’s where you put together tons of videos. Makes sense?
        Nooooooo. I don’t think it’s fair that just because you get notified about other blogs, you don’t check up on mine. Just saying. It can’t be that hard to remember a person like me.

      • Umm, I said I was way behind on all my reading of other blogs, not just yours, even though I get notifications.
        I don’t pay attention to all the new stuff that comes out, I’m only interested in blogging. Yes, I have heard of it, just didn’t know what it was all about, but sounds like it would take way too much time to put together every day. But I guess some people like it. I’ll stay with the traditional blogging, I like to write, that’s me.
        Oh, personal stuff should not be in comments please. thanks.

    • Yes, I’m going to show my mineral collection one of these days.😎 I need to get pictures of them.📷 I should do that on one of these nice sunny days🌞 while we still have nice sunny days🌞 that are warm sunny days🌞 and not cold sunny days,🌞 thanks for reminding me.😁 I haven’t totally forgotten, just kind of forgotten.🤔🙄 But I need to do this soon.🤪 It might be interesting.😜 Or not.😁🙄

      • May be 😸😁 Someone like me fascinating seeing everything 😁 is definitely interested to see that 😄 Honestly 😉 you forgot aren’t you 😜 I forget a lot, I accept it,😂😂 I wish I should not get dementia😳🙄 Hope it doesn’t happen along my journey 😄😁 it will be definitely intersting to see it, but as you said you have to photograph in a perfectly bright day, that means you can use lot of lights too 😁😁😜 Just kidding, take your time 😉✨👍🤗

      • I forgot maybe just a little, or something. But I’ll do it, honest, I won’t forget,🤔🙄 honest. I tried indoors with lights, but it’s not very good. So outdoors it is.🌞📷 I think.🤔 But it’s such nice weather for walking this week.🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🏞 But then I’m too tired to do anything when I get back.😴 Sigh. And yesterday I got some….   7. Your pics are great ! Our yard is filled with petunias…some hanging baskets and others are mainly in large pots…the squirrel is so cute ! ☕️☕️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
