Daily Pics #248.

Good morning and Happy Friday everyone! Thank you for joining us here once again! It’s a glorious, sunny morning, but it is windy and very cool. The temp this morning is just 45F (7C), a bit cooler than it should be this time of year but it is supposed to be 18C (64F) by this afternoon so that’s not so bad. Sigh. What happened to my summer? And starting Monday it’s supposed to get even colder. Out came my fall jacket this morning, probably the earliest I have worn it. Too early. But it looks so nice with the sun shining, the birds are busy, the chipmunks are busy, and Jasper is busy chasing everything in sight. I guess he wasn’t getting enough exercise with the chipmunks so now he’s chasing the sparrows too, and the blue jays. A blue jay had just taken a peanut and took off. Jasper took off too, but I guess he forgot that he can’t fly. So he landed in one of my geraniums and tumbled out the other side head first onto the deck! Now that looked funny! He just stood there looking around, hoping no one had seen that I’m sure. Then Skamper came up on the other side of that geranium and ran into the box to pick up his peanuts.

Jasper spotted another blue jay sitting on the railing and he ran up there to chase it. The blue jay jumped and landed behind Jasper who then turned around and chased again so the blue jay went up to a tree. That’s when Jasper spotted Skamper leaving with his peanuts. Jasper didn’t bother climbing down, he just dropped down but Skamper had already gone over the edge. That didn’t stop Jasper, he jumped again, but Skamper was gone. Meanwhile, Coffee came along and picked up his peanuts and left just before Jasper got back. That was close, I’m glad he got away, he’s still so small. Just then a blue jay landed on the peanut box which seemed to really get Jasper worked up. He ran in a circle and jumped at the blue jay who flew up to the railing, but Jasper went after him anyway. Meanwhile, Pocket showed up and managed to get his peanuts without Jasper knowing, until he was leaving, the chase was on! But Pocket had a good head start so he got away easily. Meanwhile, Coffee came back and picked up a couple more peanuts and got away before Jasper returned. Jasper took a peanut this time and left. Guess he will never learn.

The featured image at the top is a pic from our lake once more, a little color showing in the trees and some people out enjoying the nice morning. In the pic above is a flower called “zinnia”. They come in many different colors and are a nice easy flower to grow. Bees and butterflies enjoy this flowers as well. I hope you have a fabulous Friday and God bless!

    • I haven’t seen any butterflies since last weekend, this cold weather must have put them into hibernation. The only ones we had left were the white ones at that time.

Happy Friday Steve 🤩 Wait 😳 I’m on Saturday 🤔 Did I Missed you a whole day 🙄 Time flies 🧐 Jasper and Skamper had so much fun, now Jasper is chasing the birds too 😂🤣 funny Jasper 😜 Zinnia Flower looks cute and beautiful, the colour and the petal pattern is amazing 😍 Beautiful picture 😎 Hope your Saturday is good and safe and warm ✨😇

    • I think you’re behind time even though you’re ahead of time which puts us on the same time at least for a time though it’s now time for you to be on a new time since it’s now Sunday for you. I think.🤔😳
      Thanks Simon! Yes, Jasper tries chasing the blue jays and they just tease him, fun to watch.😜 He just doesn’t learn.🙄 Those zinnias are a beautiful flower and so many different colors, they are fantastic.😁 I hope your Sunday is off to a great start!😃😺🌞
