For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone! Here we are with bird number 7 in our series, this one is named the “Harris’ Sparrow” and it is one of our largest sparrows and a uniquely colored sparrow as well. It is very easy to pick this one out in a flock of sparrows. They are generally a more shy type sparrow and for us we only get to see it twice a year, spring and fall during migration. It breeds much further north preferring to nest in tundra areas. They will come quite readily to feeders, especially if there is seeds on the ground which is where they like to feed. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
