Coffee At Steve’s Country #63. Jasper And Things.

Good morning everyone and welcome back! The coffee is ready, just help yourself and Muffin is sitting here ready to greet to you all. It’s a beautiful mostly sunny morning with a temp of 25F (-4C) and it’s supposed to reach a high of 41F (5C). Such nice weather. Should be good for a walk this afternoon. It was a bit cooler yesterday so I decided it wouldn’t be safe for walking along that path, much too slippery. Even today there will be slippery areas where the trees keep it extra shady. It stays frozen in those particular spots even with the temp well above freezing. I know I talk about winter a lot, but that’s because we get a lot of winter up this way, about 6 months of it, sometimes 7 months. So looking at winter pics for that long a time can get a bit monotonous.

The south side of the river still has a lot of snow.

Happens to me too, but oddly enough I never get tired of looking at pics where there is no snow to be seen. They are just nicer. Snowy pics have their beauty, to a point, but it can get to be too much. I need to take more summer pics, hopefully there won’t be so many restrictions this summer so I can get out more for photo opportunities. Jasper was here yesterday eating sunflower seeds and since the temp wasn’t too bad I went out to talk with him. “How’s things going Jasper?” Chip. “Oh, what kind of problems?” Chip. “Sylvie keeps cleaning your house? What’s wrong with that, it’s good to keep it clean.” Loud chip. “Oh, she wants you to help and you prefer to have a ‘lived in’ look. I’m sure she’s just trying to help you and make your place look nicer.” Chip. “Oh, you thought it was nice already.”

The north side not so much snow.

Chip. “She wants you to add another room for the nursery? That’s a good idea.” Chip. “Oh, the ground is still frozen and it’s hard to dig. Well, just work at it slowly, you can do it.” Chip. “I sound like Sylvie? Sorry.” Loud chip. “She wants to keep running every day through the trees? Nothing wrong with that, she wants you to stay in shape in case you have to defend your territory.” Loud chip. “Oh, if you keep this up you’ll be too tired to defend your territory. I’m sure all squirrels have these problems, so you won’t have to worry about an invading squirrel having more energy than you.” Chip. “I knew you would agree, yes, Sylvie is a very nice female squirrel.” Chip. “You’re welcome, bye for now.” And off he goes.   1. Off he goes…. Sylvie is nice, until she takes over his territory. Poor Jasper. Hope he will find a place next door to stay warm and happy talking to you ☺️ You can still take more summer pictures, you know how? you just have to cover your whole place with a sheet and some fire so that it stays warm😁😁 how does that sounds ? don’t throw me anything. I’m far from Ontario😂 hey don’t forget to have fun with your words 😉 you know? I have asked time to a guy, he looked at a cactus plant, I asked why he said it has got needle 😂 😜 not a bad joke isn’t it 😂😂😂

    • Hmm, won’t the fire burn the sheet too?🤔 Then it won’t be warm anymore.🙄 Need a better idea.🤪 I think Jasper can find himself a place close by,😁 the neighbors have a nice old shed he could live in,😃 I’m sure the rent would be reasonable.🤔😂😹

      • How about sit on an electric fense 🤔 they’ll stay warm right 🤔 but we need more comfort as it might burn our seat 🤔 right? or they just burn our seat? or more than that 🤔🙄😳😜😂 Canada offers decent price for house rent, maybe I can buy from here 😜

      • There’s an old garage for sale right now,😃 it’s falling apart and isn’t good for anything,🙄 but it’s selling for only $579,000.😃🥳 For another $1.5 million it could be turned into a nice small house.😁🏠

      • 😳😳 OMG that’s too pricey. here a comfy flat you’ll get for 76000 dollars and a luxury one for just 140000 dollars 😁 you should come here then 😸☺️😁

      • Oh my, that money wouldn’t even buy a broken down house here. I don’t know how people can live in some parts of Canada. In Vancouver, one of our larger cities, there was a house sold for 1.5 million dollars😳 but it was in such bad shape it had to be torn down😬 and a new house built which cost another 2 million dollars.😬 And that wasn’t even in the expensive part of the city.🙄 How do people afford that? But it sold within a couple days. Amazing.😳😲

      • 😳😳 I would say, Canada have got millionaires around 😎 millions of millions 😱 that is huge money transactions…. here for such money we could actually start a multi million revenue making factory 😂

      • Actually not that many millionaires, just a lot of people going into debt for the rest of their lives!😬😬 I really don’t know how people can afford it.🤔 But they’re not all that expensive, the average selling price for a small house now is around 679,000 dollars.😳 Much more affordable.🙄🙄

      • seriously 😳🙄679000 dollars 🧐 if they could invest that money to me, I could return them back in double in a year 😸 but problem is I don’t know how to invest 😂😂 wait until I learn it 😜

    • Yes, it certainly was icy, wow, those hills were bad. They are also shady so it will take some warmer temps to help melt them. But it sure was nice out there by the river.😀😺☕☕🌞
