Art In Nature #11.

Hello once again everyone! Here we are with more art in nature today, hopefully you will enjoy today’s selection. There are so many things that really would qualify as art, it just depends on what we see and what we like. I generally like to go for oddities that probably no one else would think of, but that makes it interesting to me.

Every time you go for a walk, or go to the park, or perhaps a drive in the country, always check to see what you might be able to find, you might be surprised at how much there is out there and so much beauty in things that we usually just pass by without noticing them. Maybe next time when you’re on a picnic…hmm, do people still go on picnics? Personally I think they’re fun and a great family activity. And a great time to look for things, like art in nature.

Or looking for wildflowers (but please, don’t pick the wildflowers, just take a picture and leave them so others can enjoy them too, and it will then ensure that they are around for years to come), or birds, and see how many different kinds you can find and identify. I think I might start a wildflower series to replace my bird of the day at the end of the month. Oops, I’m getting off topic again.

But always be on the lookout for those little, or not so little, oddities that make up art in nature all around us. I guess even wildflowers would fit in that too but having them in their own series I think would be nice too. What do you think, would it be a good idea? Oops, there I go again, getting off topic.         I have a comment section and that is it?? There is no drop down menu, or any thing labeled spam.

        I do not know where to find these mysterious missing messages 😮

        Yes I find great peace most of the time – in my country lol … the coyotes are really loud, I’m not a big snake fan, and I do judge bugs by how scary they look and if I see a stinger lol

        I do love praying mantises ❤️❤️❤️ they are adorable

      • Hi Trisha, it will depend on the device you are using. For a phone click on comments, at the top left it should say ‘All’ with an arrow, click that and you will get a drop down menu which shows 5 things, one of them is spam, click on spam to open that folder. On your laptop, click on comments, at the top it lists all five categories, click on spam and it opens the folder.😃😸

        Praying mantis are amazing insects, so are many others, though some don’t look very nice and some are completely scary looking, such as huge spiders!😲😲

        Snakes are cool critters too, though some are dangerous, especially down your way, we don’t have to worry here. But we certainly have an abundance of wildlife, you will get to see a lot of pics of that wildlife if you check my blog regularly. (How’s that for a shameless plug).😂😹 I’m not a huge fan of danger exactly but I have had my share of dangerous adventures! I’m trying to be more careful now though, a couple of bad accidents did it for me.😬🙀

      • I use iPhone .. there is comment section… but no drop down menu – there is no ALL category only one single comment section

        Lol yes I do not like giant spiders either – California has ginormous spiders 🕷

        I am generally careful… but I can be accidental too lol ✌️

      • I guess iPhones do it differently, but it has to be there. Have you tried pulling down from the top or side? Very strange.🤔
        Yep, we get spiders here that can be over 6 inches across. I must admit, I just don’t like a spider that big, especially when they come in my apartment. Though the biggest one inside was 4 inches, still too big.😳
        I really do try to be careful on my adventures, but things just happen anyway.🙄 But 2 serious accidents has made me stop and think. The one time took nearly 5 months to recover, not fun!😬
        You might have to try your laptop to find the spam folder. Oh well. Sorry I couldn’t help, I thought iPhone would be the same for WP.😕

        Yeah I don’t know why iPhone so difficult with it – for me at least

        But I also don’t play around with features – I have never truly explored WordPress lol … I come in – I read, I comment, I reply, I post and that’s pretty much it lol …

        Ugh 🤦‍♀️ so I guess I have to explore … but for sure iPhone has no area that says “all” in the comment section?? And iPhone has no pull down menu there either ? I have no idea what people talk about lol 🤷‍♀️

        Ugh 🤦‍♀️ west coast spiders use steroids 🤨 they are WAY too big!!

        Ummm I have not purposely had a dangerous situation in a long time- but I was married does that count ?

      • That is so odd, there must be a way to find your spam folder,🤔 you could lose a lot of nice comments in there.😳 If people that comment regularly will sometimes have their comments go to spam, it’s very annoying when that happens.😒

        We don’t have black widows or wolf spiders, but the wolf is smaller than the ones we have.😲

        Well, I’ve never been married so I don’t know if that counts or not!😂 I don’t think it’s supposed to be dangerous, though I must admit, it happens unfortunately.😬

      • No, that’s not the spam folder, that’s just all your comments, but not all comments end up there, lots go to spam and most of them should be there, they are not real comments. But a lot of good comments go there too. Did you try clicking on that ALL? See if it produces a drop down menu? Oh wait, I’m not thinking, the notifications sidebar, no, that’s different. Go to your stats page, on the left should be a side menu, if not, swipe from the left, it should open. There it says comments, click on that, it will open a separate comments page, at the top it will list different pages, including spam, click on the spam and it will open that folder. I know this might sound odd, but if you’re using your phone still, turn it sideways, that left menu bar just might show up then. Try it.

        I have comments but I can not pick anything that says spam. ?? And I have stats – but that is just stats

        I do not think I have that feature? It’s Apple 🍎🙄 and WordPress – they hide things 🤨

      • Oh well, you will have a spam folder,🤔 it’s standard in WP, but finding it might be a problem.🙄 But it will be easy if you use your computer, that might help you to find it on your phone.🤔

      • Is beautiful evening here in Nor Cal ✌️ 🙌 beautifully colored sunset 🌅 still going down… perfect temp – maybe still a sight reminder of a chill, it will definitely chill down once the sun sets! But birds are singing and all that – very beautiful evening here 🙌

        We had a 60 degree evening – we get warmer and warmer

        You seem to be going the other way with it lol

        I laugh “with you”, lol… because I remember that cold… my mom used to joke that we could never put away our winter clothes lol … it was not a joke – we never could put them away! 😝

        And …I always did get a kick out of calling family back East while we in shorts and tank tops and they all bundled and saying “hey how’s the weather?” Lol 😘✌️

      • Yes, it is a cold one today, feels like we’re back into winter,🥶 I had to bring my winter jacket out again.😬 We had some days I didn’t need a jacket at all. And it’s supposed to get colder next week.🤪 But, this is the north!

        Yes, winter clothes need to stay handy year round, there’s only 2 months we can be sure of not getting snow, July and August.🌞 Our winters have been getting colder and longer the last 20 years.😳🙀

        Only August and September – maybe October-ish … is fire season – that’s a sucky part

        But otherwise is spring – 🙌 … spring and summer are best 😄✌️ I like warm

        Not scorching 🥵… I don’t really like that lol… maybe not over 100 would be cool 😎

        But I do love the weather here in California ❤️🙌 🌴

        I am not one who does well in the cold lol … it makes me shudder to think of lol

        Yes I do like teasing … just playfully sometimes 😊 I also enjoy having fun ✌️

        I remember Maine and Massachusetts – they are kinda similar … Maine being the most similar to Canada … totally goes far below zero!!

        My sister is in Maine ❤️

      • Hi Trisha! Your weather sounds great, people here usually consider 70s as being hot,🥵 not me though, it’s getting hot when the temp is in the upper 80s and 90s.😁 We can get that in later June, July and early August.😃🌳🌞

        I’m just not a cold loving person, I mean, why do people like being cold?🤔🙄🙀

        Our main fire season is mid May to mid Sept., though it can start earlier some years. It’s already very dry.😬 It might be a bad year for fires,😳🔥 we haven’t had a bad year for a few years now.🙂

        My Friday was great, though the weather wasn’t, it snowed.😳 Sigh.🙄 But today was nicer and mostly sunny and warmed up to 40!😎

      • Our summer temps can go to around 115 which is not very good at all.

        Last year was a really bad year for us!

        Well there is sometimes some awesome things about the cold… like being all warm and going outside taking big deep breathe of the cold – sometimes that is refreshing 🙌

        And building snow things and sledding 🛷 is amazing

        Then hot chocolate after ❤️ so some is kinda awesome

        It’s just adulting in cold I do not like lol 😄✌️ shoveling out the car, deicing the lock, warming it up for hours, driving on ice and snow, walking on ice and snow lol … those things are iffy lol

        So far weekend going well – knock on wood 🪵✌️😊

      • Yep, that is a bit warm, even for a heat loving person like me.🤪 Awesome and cold are two words I never use in the same sentence, they just don’t go together.🙄

        Having to put on so many clothes to go outside so a person can barely move.😳 And if you fall, that’s it, you’re not getting up again unless someone helps you get up.😬 Trying to hold keys with gloves that make your hands look 4 times bigger than normal is not easy,🤔 and if you take them off your skin instantly freezes.😲 Plus seeing snow on the ground for 6 and sometimes 7 months of the year kind of loses it’s excitement.🙄 Here the snow is too cold to make anything, it doesn’t stick together.😬 Sledding is fun. Hot chocolate by the fireplace after, yes, very fun.😁☕

        Maybe it’s just me. I just don’t understand why anyone would want to live up here.🤔 Okay, I know, I live here,🙄 but I’m crazy so it makes sense.😂😹

      • Hahaha where here? Only in the winter (2/3 months) is rain

        We are expensive though but Florida, Texas and all those southern areas are cheaper

        I have never been to Canada so I only tease you – but I do remember how New England was and sounds very similar

        Every year around fire time – I wonder why I still live in California lol

        Also with how expensive it is – I will totally give you that one

        Blue sky and sunshine this morning with a temp of 21, but it might get warmer this afternoon, maybe up to 40.🌞😎 I hope so, then I can spend some time outside.😃

        I always wonder why I stay here, until summer comes, then I say, “this is why I stay here”.🤔 It’s the most beautiful place to be in summer.😃😺🌲🌳

        The only warm spot in Canada is the west coast. In Vancouver, the biggest city, prices are outrageous. A small house, that needed a lot of work recently sold for 1.5 million dollars, and that’s normal.😳

        I do prefer country living to city living. This isn’t quite country living since I live in town, but it’s a small town and I live on the edge of town, so it feels like country living.😁😸🌲🐿

      • Actually, Florida has never sounded exciting to me.🤔 I have been to Texas, just once though.😄
        Yep, prices are high there, at least here you can get a nice little house for only $400,000, unless you want lakeshore, then it’s double that or more.🤔
        That sounds like a nice quiet place to live. It’s quiet here too,😄 mostly, not counting shootings, stabbings and bombings.😳

        During all those riots and things Sacramento had the national guard everywhere

        Currently it is peaceful – or I just think it is, because I do not watch the news.

        Although I also learned about the Suez Canal’s container ship 🚢 😮😮

        Omg – when you’ve had a bad day!! 😮 …and I thought I had bad days!! 😮

        Crazy things … always crazy weird things lol 🤷‍♀️

        No bombings here that I am aware of lol… but probably shootings or stabbings in the city – it’s the city – there is always that (in big cities – not my little small town)

      • Well, it’s hard to use an exchange comparison since $400,000 here or there really is still that much coming out of our money either way. But if you were buying up here, that would be different, then it would only be 310,000 that you would pay. Exchange comparisons really don’t work well though.🤔

        I don’t think things happening in our little town would make it onto news down there.😁 Maybe the bombing guy when that happened, but that was years ago. But we do get regular shootings and stabbings, mostly gang related.🤔 We have 3 gangs in town, the main one you likely have heard of, with initials of H. A.😳 Then there are 2 smaller gangs from cities east and west of us.🙄

        But it’s still a nice little town. Enjoy your Monday!😀😺🌞

      • I agree with you on that, not a good thing to get bitten by a rattler.😳 Wear western boots, cowgirl boots?🤔 I like western boots, so comfortable. Though not the best for climbing around these rocks around here,😬 I prefer hiking boots for that.😃 But we don’t have rattlers around here.😀

        That’s okay, you can be a girly girl and still enjoy the wonders of country living. That’s it, it’s an oasis from the world and that part is so nice. That’s why I liked my cottage, getting away from everything. It’s the best.😁🌞🌲🌳

        I came from the city, thought that was the best place to live,🌃 until I moved to the country.🌄🌳🌲 I would never go back to city living now, unless I had too.🤔🙄

  11. As always, this series shares so many of nature’s treasures. You are right Steve. When we slow down and look for hidden gems, we sometimes discover creation’s uniqueness. Have a blessed rest of the week.
