For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone! It’s a rainy morning here but that has made it smell so nice and fresh outside. It is cool though at 39F (4C) and that’s the highest the temp will be today. Not exactly something we would expect for May, not even this early in May. Our night temps should be warmer than that by now. Oh well, it is still so beautiful outside with all the birds chirping and singing so lively. The coffee is ready for everyone and Muffin is ready to greet all of you this morning. You might have noticed a slight name change this morning, my morning posts will be the same, but not called coffee posts for the summer.
Soon I will be starting my summer coffee times in parks and other places so I decided on an update for my morning posts. Each day will have a new name, which I have already been adding to the regular name. Monday Musings for today, Tuesday’s Tails (originally it was Tales, but a reader suggested Tails might be nice and I agreed because it fits well with all the critters around here, thanks Hilary), Wednesday’s Wanderings, Thursday’s Thoughts, and Fantastical Friday. Then on the weekend we have Saturday’s Solitude and Sunday’s Sunshine. I know, I’m a bit crazy, why all the names? Because I’m different, very different. There are so many birds out here this morning it’s amazing.
But no bird pics today, instead I’m showing some of the greenery that is starting to show up, even though we haven’t had much warm weather, plants are growing, the grass is getting green and will likely really start growing good after this rain. But still no flowers yet. The daffodils are growing well but no flower buds yet. I hope they produce some this year, last year there was not even one flower even though other years they had dozens of flowers. I have to take a break and go shopping, so I’ll finish this when I get back. Well, that took a little longer than I thought. The birds are still very busy so I put more seeds out for them and peanuts for the squirrels and Skitter.
So everyone is happy again. All the feeders were completely empty when I got back home and Jasper was eating the last peanut. I see the peanuts are gone already and the feeders are nearly empty once more. I try not to put out too many seeds at a time so that if the bear shows up he won’t find much if anything. But it means going out more often with seeds. I don’t mind that part though. There are now 7 male purple finches and 6 females. There could be more, but that’s what I have seen all at once. Well, I hope you all have a most wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Good question, I like good questions. Wish I had good answers. As they say in the old country, “time comes and time goes, but a broken foot is painful.”

I didn’t say time was painful, nor did I say anything about losing time. But I certainly lost today big time. Sigh.π³ππ»

Steve, your ideas for labeling your daily posts look great. Monday Musings . . . sort of sounds playful and fun. Have a terrific week.

Thanks Richard! Once I get myself better organized, each day will have a slightly different theme to follow. Thanks, hope you have a great week as well!
