Hello everyone! Welcome back to our second flower in our new series, the “hairy beardtongue”. It gets that name from none other than what looks like a hairy tongue at the bottom side of the trumpet shaped flower. Depending where you live these can bloom from mid May to mid September, but for us it’s early June to mid July. They like a dry, sandy soil in open sunny areas, but will tolerate partial shade too. They will grow from 1 to 3 feet (30 to 90 cm) tall. They are members of the snapdragon family. Bees, some varieties of butterflies and hummingbirds love these flowers. They are not widespread in our area, these were found down by our river. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!

I have no worries. Speaking of sleeping, I woke up last night to noises on the deck, fairly loud at times. Muffin was sleeping with me but she didn’t stir at all with this noise. I finally got up and looked but couldn’t see anything. This morning I looked around expecting to see a big mess, but nothing except one small item was moved a bit. How does all that noise happen and nothing moves??🤔🤔😳😳🙀🙀

I used to have two raccoons coming around🦝🦝 but they haven’t been here since the bears started coming.🐻 But they always make a big mess too.🙄 But I didn’t hear a flying saucer.🤔🛸🚀

Meow,meow=Me know, I check temp, he kinda hot, but that might be cause he sitting in sunshine. His eyes also looking kinda weird, like rolling in circles. But that might be cause he standing outside with camera bent backward looking up in tree at woodpecker for so long time. He come in still bent backward.🙀🙀😳😳📷

No, no, you’re in the southland, I’m in the northland. Hey, this is shorts and T shirt weather. A couple days ago while everyone was wearing winter jackets still, even young people, an older guy walks casually by with shorts and a T shirt. I mean, it was only in the 30s that day.😳😳

It was a beautiful sunny and hot day, even with the continued north wind. Getting better every day! I had a great day, not much pain today, except my back complained a bit. I almost went for a walk but things didn’t work out. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.😁🌞🚶♂️🌲🚶♂️🌳🚶♂️

I don’t have a lawn, only a deck. Well, except a small patch of grass that I walk on to get to my deck. But it’s the deck that’s the problem and there’s getting to be more squirrels all the time. I’m starting to get confused trying to figure out who is who out there. There is at least 7 squirrels now!😲😲🙀🙀

Yep, he found out the hard way. Two ravens found him, the one said, Ohhh, looks so delicious, I must have the recipe. The other said, take one fast car and one slow squirrel, so simple.
