Chomping on cable cords? That’s an easy fix, take a bar of soap and wipe it along the cords.π He’ll stop quickly enough. Cats love being on top of the fridge, it’s warm up there.ππΊ
He chewed through the fish aquarium tubing too, which ended up causing a flood in the basement. He also destroyed a wall in the basement by clawing it to death so we have to repaint that wall. The soap idea is interesting. If I catch him chomping on anymore stuff (including the blender) I will be trying that!
I think it was the smell that stopped my cat, he was a male too, he never tried chewing on them, just sniffed them and backed away! He also kept digging in my flower pots, so it was suggested in a cat magazine to put some cayenne pepper on the soil. I just put a little on top and that worked too. You can also try buying some cord wraps or hard tubing to put over the cords. Or that decorative chain.
Oh, I like the last one! Knowledgeable is okay too, but wise or smart just doesn’t seem to fit, kind of like I didn’t have to work at it.ππΉBut I do thank you.ππΊ
Callie loves to run through our apartment on land on every piece of furniture. I read by doing that, she is claiming her domain. Then she settles down and walks over to my hubby and then me and gives us kisses. Cats can sense when their humans are sad or not feeling well. We had to buy wraps for our cables and cords, which solved the problem. πΊπ³ π§ π₯ π§ π₯ βοΈβοΈ
Yes, I have heard that too. Cats, and dogs, can tell when their human is sad or not feeling well. I’m sure that wild animals can too, I have experienced it with the chipmunks. Yep, wraps do work good, probably a better solution than soap, but the soap did work, he never did try chewing again, the smell is what kept him away.ππΉ
My cat is a very catty cat.

Maybe he’s just got things backwards. Try explaining it to him.ππΊ

You could tell my cat not to jump on top of the fridge, and not to chomp on the cable cords 1000 times, and heβll still do it.

Well, I don’t think ‘wise’ is quite the right word, but you’re welcome! Hmm, a blog post, not a bad idea.ππΊ

Does your cat touch your hand with its head ?
Some cats do this when you feed them delicious food …

Yes, Muffin does that all the time, not just for food, but when she wants attention or wants to play, or just when showing affection.
