For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning on this snowy Thursday! It is 9F (-13C), very windy and it is snowing once again. We are supposed to get another 6 inches (15cm) or so of snow today. Hmm, my path down by the river might not even be visible down at the river after this storm. It is supposed to be even windier tomorrow which will blow the snow across that path obliterating it completely I’m sure. Looks like I will have to wait until next week to find out anyway. Oh well.
The birds are busy at the feeders, I mean really busy. The snow has certainly brought them all in at the same time, and I think, in larger numbers than before. I counted again yesterday and came up with a total of 307 birds. No wonder I am going through seeds so fast. But it is so enjoyable having these birds around during the long winter. And it is my only real hobby right now. Most likely I will have to stop feeding birds again for the summer to try and keep the bears away.
It does not work, the bears keep coming anyway, but it is worth trying I guess. Or maybe not. I will still feed my gulls anyway. Wow, all the birds flew into the trees just now, hard to believe, like a huge cloud. The redpolls are coming back down already, they are always first to come back. Sometimes I think they deliberately fly so the bigger birds will too. Then they can come back and eat for a while before the grosbeaks come back down.
The nuthatches do not even pay attention when they do that, they just keep right on eating. Everyone knows when there is a real emergency, that distress call goes out and they all listen to it, fast. Tomorrow I will be showing my coverlets, then every other day I will show some of my other collections for a while. I will try not to duplicate things that I already showed you the last couple of years. For my new readers, I do this each year in February or March, just for something a bit different.
But it will not be every day. The trees out here are full of redpolls, some are down at the feeders and on the ground and at least 50 to 60 of them just flew away. I think there is more of them today than yesterday when I counted. I remember one year I had 200 of them, maybe it will happen this year too! Feeding birds brings a lot of happiness. It can also help reduce stress, anxiety, discouragement and much more. Well, thank you so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

If I waited for them to show up, I would still be waiting now! I didn’t do much this time though, way too much snow. I will see if my neighbor will help with this one.π

911 is for emergencies, shoveling snow is not an emergency.ππ

Now why would you want to do that? It’s actually quite amazing how something so tiny can weigh so much?π€π³ππ

Could you find a land of a price in the range of no more than 5 thousand dollars to build a house with portable ingredients but good quality ones for no more than 30 thousand dollars?
You can save money owning instead of renting ( Your intuition inspired by God can answer this question …God blessings …)

One of my friends told me that one areas away from cities can have meter square prices of only a few cents in Nova Scotia …

There are places in different parts of the country that do that, but there is a catch. A certain kind of house must be built on the land within the first year. I have checked out all possibilities in this country. And Nova Scotia has cold, damp and very snowy winters too. This year they have way more snow than we do.

In this country the cheapest house to build would still cost $300,000 even in a small town somewhere. And that would just get a small modest house. I don’t have that kind of money. No, it can’t be done any cheaper.
