Sunny Sunday. #2

Hello again to all of you! There is nothing like a colorful flower to brighten a cold winter day! This, of course, is from last summer when the flowers bloom around here. Nothing but snow around now, and for the next 4 months or so. Have a fabulous Sunday everyone and God bless!

Steve and Muffin.

      • Oh my, that really does sound so nice! Today it is about 11F, so just a bit cooler than what we had. If their forecast is correct, and that is a big if, then we should make it to 32 on Sunday! Then it cools off quite a bit. Sigh.πŸ™„

      • Nope. That is all yours. Strange that your Sunday may end up being a “warm” day for you and one of the coldest days so far for us.. We may even get snow. *theatrical gasp*
        Have a beautiful weekend!

      • I hope you enjoy the snow Sheri! Make a snowman if you get enough snow for that. Thank you! Have a great weekend!πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜Ίβ˜•β˜•β„οΈ

      • It was very nice for temps, got up to 32 Sunday! Then we had freezing drizzle throughout the night and today, plus ice fog. So now there is a layer of ice on everything causing me to fall twice! Now I am incredibly sore, and after just getting better from that crazy dog attack last Tuesday. Sigh.πŸ˜²πŸ™€πŸ™„β˜•β˜•πŸŒ¨οΈπŸŒ¨οΈ

      • Lol *shakes head* It blows my mind that people can live so comfortably in those kinds of temperatures but the summers down here are no joke so.. I guess all you can do is adapt.

I’m sorry to hear you’re hurting, ice can be sneaky and mean. Wait. You were attacked by a dog?

      • Well, I’m not so sure we live comfortably in our winters, but we make it through anyway! Yep, I was out walking on my favorite trail to the river, and on the way back I heard a noise behind me. I turned to see this big dog running full out just a few feet away. She threw herself into me sending me flying, then she jumped all over me. I had quite a time just keeping her feet off my face! Her owner was way behind yelling for her to come back and stop. The dog paid no attention. Her owner admitted the dog was hard to control. So why was she off her leash then? There is a law that dogs must be on a leash at all times on these public walking trails. There is a reason for that. Had it been summer I would have landed on solid rock, which likely would have put me in the hospital. As it was, my back, neck, shoulder and hand ended up in much pain. Now I’m afraid to go walking along there again. Sigh.

      • Ohmygoodness.. I can’t believe that person! We have a ‘hard to handle’ rescue and you just don’t do that, that leash is there for Everyone’s safety (including the dog.) I’m sorry to hear this happened and I don’t blame you at all for being hesistant to return there.
Many good thoughts and prayers that you heal quickly and well.
I really hope that dog’s person learned something from the experience though.

      • Yes, I hope she did learn something. If that dog was to attack a little kid that way, it could lead to some serious problems for everyone involved.
Thank you so much Sheri! Much appreciated.😊

      • Oh dear.. I didn’t even think of what it would be like for a child.
I know in some states an adult can make a complaint that they ‘felt in fear for their life’ and an animal can be put down. Which is BS considering the owner is at fault.
You’re very welcome! Try to stay warm, get lots of rest, and feel better soon.

      • Yes, I would not want the dog put down, but the owner can be fined here. But so many people let there dogs walk unleashed along the walking trails here that it would be hard to police them. And trying to charge the owner is not that easy either and would be hard to get it done. Sigh. Have a great evening!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Ίβ„οΈβ„οΈ

      • You’d think a fine these days would be enough incentive to avoid doing it but either way.. It’s always the animal that pays for the person’s recklessness.
Thank you! And do stay safe.
