Marven handed the newspaper to M. “Do not give me that filthy thing,” he yelled. Then he once again punched M in the stomach causing him to buckle and fall to the floor. “May I see the paper?” I asked. “Yes, yes of course,” said M, “perhaps you will learn something. This is disastrous news!” “Yes, it is,” I said. I read the article. “They did put a whole new alarm system in place, something they had been working on before the showing of the diamonds,” I told M, “they had hoped to have it in place right from the beginning.

But it is now working fine. That is bad news for us however. They even changed the control room to another location which they are keeping secret for now. They say it will make it impossible for anyone to get in and steal those diamonds, or anything else.” “Oh dear, oh dear,” said M, who was now pacing back and forth. Considering how hard it is for him to walk, he must really be worried now. “Does this mean we have to cancel?” he asked me.

“Well, we have to know what kind of alarm system it is and where that control room is located,” I said, “too bad we do not have Annelie, she could find out for us.” “Where is she?” asked M, “I could get her for you.” “Too late,” I said, “she is in the hospital in very serious condition. Apparently she fell down the stairs when no one was home.” “Oh dear, oh dear,” said M, “this is getting worse all the time.” “May I say something?” asked Crystal.

“Why yes, do you have a solution?” asked M. “Well, I am not sure,” she said, “but Annelie has been teaching me what she knows about computers and how to hack into places. Perhaps I could hack into the museum computer system and find out what changes they made.” “Oh, splendid, splendid,” said M excitedly, “please do give it a try.” “I would be very willing,” she said, “however, I cannot promise anything, I am still new at this.”

“Actually, she has been able to do some very good hacking of different places,” I said, “so it is certainly worth a try. She will need a fairly new computer to use though.” “No problem there,” said M, much happier now, “I have the very best computers available. Marven, quit your squeaking and take Crystal to your room to use the computer there. Do you mind if he watches you my dear?” “Not at all,” said Crystal, “maybe he can learn something for use in the future.”

“Splendid!” said M. Marven managed to pull himself to his feet and took Crystal to another room. “Um, I hate to bring this up,” I said after they left, “but Marven will not try anything with Crystal, will he?” “What?” said M, “if he touches her I will break every bone in his body! He knows it too, so you will not need to worry.” “Thank you M,” I said, “I sure hope she can find out what system they are using. It would be a shame to call it off after all this.”

“Yes, I quite agree,” he said, “would there be no other way to do it?” “Well, without knowing what the alarm system is, it will just be impossible,” I said, “according to this article, just touching a diamond would close the doors to the room immediately, which takes only 2 seconds.” “Oh my, that would make it impossible to get the diamonds out since they are kept right in the middle of the room,” he admitted. “Here you go Crystal,” said Marven.

Crystal went at once to the museum website to see what she could find out, which was nothing, so she proceeded to try hacking into their computer system. “I do not understand how you do that,” said Marven as he watched. He quickly got bored so sat on a nice, comfortable chair. “If you need anything, just let me know,” he said to Crystal. “That was quite a punch M gave you,” said Crystal showing genuine concern, “I mean, that had to hurt.”

“Yeah, it always does,” said Marven, “and my stomach was still sore from when he hit me 2 days ago. I would sure like to punch that fat stomach of his a few times.” Crystal kept talking to him about that. “You must be very loyal to stay with him like that after the way he treats you,” said Crystal. “Well, one of these days he will hit me for the last time,” said Marven, “then I will be getting out of here.”

“Providing you are still alive,” she said with a concerned look on her face. “Hmm, never thought about it like that,” he admitted. “Why not come with us?” asked Crystal. “You really think M will let you go free after this?” he asked. While they were talking Crystal had contacted the Major to see if he could contact Rock. She did not know that the Major was with the team. There was something else she told him…

    • Well, we do not even know where we are being held, unfortunately. All we know is that we are not too far from the museum, but what does that mean? A few blocks away or a few hours away? I think Crystal is trying to win Marven over to our side, but I hope she is careful, he just might turn her over to M just to get back in his favor. Things like that can be so tricky. I just hope she doesn’t get caught talking with the Major, good thing that Marven went to sit down where he can’t see what she is doing.🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Oh yes, oh yes!! She needs to be extra careful!
        So far you’ve been fortunate. But with this changing of the security system he’s likely to be extra irritable!!🫣😬
        But if she is able to come up with some updated information that could settle M down a little.

      • Yep, a good way to get in good with M is to turn in Crystal for trying to turn him against M. Bad stuff. Yep, I am thinking that too, much more irritable which means we really need to watch ourselves. I hope she can hack into their computer, she hasn’t been working on things very long yet, but Annelie is a good teacher. I wish we had her right now though.🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

      • I agree! Without knowing where the control room is you don’t stand a chance. Although it could just be misinformation to thwart potential thieves!
        🤔🤔 So maybe your plan could still be useful?

      • Yes, that could be, just trying to fool everyone into thinking there has been changes. But if they are correct, we need to know where that control room is or we cannot turn off the alarm. This is giving me a lot of extra stress. Just when I thought we had things going our way.🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

      • I’m sure she will either confirm the new system or not. But if there is a new system… what will you do?? It maybe impossible to steal them!🤔😳

      • Yes, if they have a new system, then we are in big trouble. If we can’t steal those diamonds, M is likely going to kill us right away. It was fortunate I knew so much about this museum, it may not be the case at the next place those diamonds will be shown. And M is not a particularly patient sort of man.😲👩👩👩👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Yes, she is hoping for some help from him right now and also telling him something important and hopefully it will be in time!😲👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Yes, I am sure we will find out eventually. It was something that Marven mentioned while they were talking. Another good reason to get Marven talking. Get him relaxed and he will talk without knowing what he said. Crystal is good at that.🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Yep, if he doesn’t then someone will…well, that’s for tomorrow. Or not. But I do hope Crystal finds out the info we need to do the job.🤔👩📷

      • Hmm, well, that is a good thought, but if all goes according to plan, then Sky and the team will be around to rescue us. I gave instructions to Muffin about that. It will be hard though since they do not know when we will be there, unless Crystal can tell the Major that info. But will she have enough time? I do not think Major will let the police have M, he will take care of M himself. But if Rossana shows up, she knows Major by sight and is involved in undercover work to stop Victor. So all of this could be very tricky business. It is also possible that one of the German police officers might know Major by sight also.😲👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Yes, he needs to be careful, but he wants to confront M himself, that is when the danger arises! He will have a number of men around I’m sure, but I would not want a shoot out with the police. That would be hard for us to explain!😲👩🕵️‍♂️🤔

  2. Problems can lead to troubles ! Crystal is talking too much…😳 Altho’ she is good at hacking into computers…hacking and talking to the enemy does not usually work…hmmm…😯 I hope she finds what she is looking for quickly ! 🕵️‍♂️👩👩‍🦰👩👩‍🦱

    • Well, Crystal is deliberately talking a lot to hopefully keep Marven occupied so he won’t come and look at what she is doing. And maybe win Marven over to helping us escape perhaps. Though she won’t really suggest that, just toss some hints and hopefully he will make the suggestions. He did tell her something interesting, though we don’t know what yet. She is also trying to hack the museums computers, but that may not be easy for her. Annelie is a good teacher though, so hopefully she can do it. We will soon see.🤔👩👩👩👩🕵️‍♂️

  3. Hope that Crystal, wipes out her digital tracks or anyone with the skills will be able to see what she is doing. Marven is a weak link but hopefully not so loyal to M or too smart. You can be successful but there is much going against you.

    • Yes, that is one thing that Annelie taught Crystal first so she will have no problems with that. Hopefully she can keep Marven relaxed with all of her talking so he doesn’t come and watch what she is doing. Also by relaxing him he just might say some things that would be helpful to us. I just hope she doesn’t say too much about leaving M or helping us, just enough to get him thinking and then maybe he will come to us. Yep, too much against us right now and we don’t want to get shot stealing those diamonds. If we were doing this ourselves we would have all the right tools to use, including our dart guns so we don’t hurt anyone. We have ways to get things in through their xray machines, just like M does, but that is only for his men to use…against us!🤔👩👩👩👩🕵️‍♂️
