Little Chickadee.

There it sits on a branch so bare

Looking about, always aware

That danger could be near,

Yet singing it’s name loud and clear…

Little chickadee.

It seems to be a ball of fluff,

Feathers spread out just enough,

Keep it warm on days so cold,

Sitting, singing, loud and bold…

Little chickadee.

It seems to bounce through the air,

Up, down, on a wave so fair

Landing gently on my hand

Friends, giving, trust, there we stand…

Little chickadee.
