Daily Pics #96.

Good morning everyone on this nice sunny Sunday morning!  It is a bit cool again but certainly not like yesterday morning and it should actually do some real melting today.  Everything is still covered with a thick layer of ice.  Small icicles hang from some of the tree branches which are still covered with ice.  My deck started to melt a bit yesterday so this morning it is a treacherous sheet of ice out there.  So I had to be especially careful taking food out to the birds this morning.  Sir George and Lady Pearl were first down to pick up some food.  Amazing how those two big birds can sit on that feeder and still have room to bend down and pick up the food.  I think I need to have a larger feeder, maybe I will do that for a project once the weather warms up more.  Still a little too cool to be working around outside.  At least for me.  I need to fix things up properly out there this year anyway.

And here we are, back to my favorite hollyhocks once more, but another different color variation, with it’s friendly bee joining in.IMG_5377

And this bright red beauty, and amazingly, no bee at this one, though I’m quite sure it has had a visitor or two before and after this pic.  This flower is over 4 inches (10cm) across.  And the plant itself grew to be more than 8 feet tall.20190828_192547

    • Yep, the palm tree is from Nice, France,😁 when I was on vacation there last year.😄✈ We did have sun, but the clouds have come in now, that will slow down the melting today.😕 But it’s still a beautiful day.😁 Hope yours was nice as well.😃😺🌞☕☕

      • It was a beautiful day, corona scare, and a funny activity by our prime minister, entire country is laughing at him😜😂😂 having fun at the lockdown period 😀 Enjoy the sun steve, hope the cloud will move away soon. 🙂

      • Your prime minister is a comedian, cool!😂😹 That’s it, enjoy the lockdown,🤸‍♂️ it’s better than a lockup (jail)!😳 Cloud has gone,🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️ the sun is back🌞 and the ice is melting again,😀🌞 gone off the trees finally, slippery walking still😬 so I will stay inside and enjoy the sun in here instead, just like Muffin.😃😺🌞☕☕☕☕

      • We start in a long maze to get to the door. Our grocery stores are big and indoors. They only allow 50 people in the store now. Then they stop the line until someone comes out, then another person can go in. You have to wash with hand sanitizer before entering the store. There are arrows on the floor and you have to follow the arrows around the store. I forgot something and had to go all the way to the end and come around to the start and go all through it again. Sigh. I got lots of walking this morning since I went to 2 stores. We have to stay 2 meters apart and you can’t pass people in the store, so if you get behind someone slow, well, you’re stuck,😳 can’t go back, just have to wait. People are not allowed to waste time looking at stuff though in order to keep the line moving. The floor is marked with yellow tape to show the 2 meter space.😜 Very slow now.🤪 It would be terrible to just go in for one or two items!😲😲😲

      • Ha ha ha 😂😂😂 Almost same scenario, if you look at South Indian news on corona and people crowd you’ll be amazed, noneof them follow rules😂😂. This distancing is a pain for some people. And we got used to run through the crowds all of a sudden a rule to follow is a pain indeed 😳I think you should start doing monthly shopping ☺️ 2 shops? You definitely had a long walk right 🤗 Take some rest Steve ✨🤗 I wish this corona could disappear over night ☺️😌.

      • Yes, I wish it would disappear quick too, but things are going to get worse here yet. I won’t have to shop again for awhile, except for some fresh fruit or veggies.😃😺

    • No, obviously they can’t be recent, it’s still winter here, it will be another 6 weeks before the earliest flowers begin to bloom.
