Tuesday’s Chatter. #1

Good morning on this first Tuesday of the New Year. I did make a little name change for Tuesday’s post since it can refer to the critter’s chattering or mine, so it fits good. I kind of like to chatter sometimes, which basically means talking without saying a lot. That can be fun sometimes. Or not. But I still enjoy doing it. And these days there is not a lot to talk about it seems. Also, I am not sure if any photos will show up today. I will try, might it might not work.

Mama coming to visit.

I am having some problems with my laptop the last few days. Meaning, it does not want to work properly. It is what I call “glitchy”. It does not work smoothly like it should. It will kind of freeze for a few seconds, then start to work again. So if I upload a photo and it freezes like that, then I have to cancel and try again. I must admit, it is getting a bit irritating at times. And sometimes it just shuts down the program I am using, which means I lose things and have to start over.

And sometimes it just freezes and stays that way. Nothing to do but shut it down, which is not really the best thing to do, but the only way to deal with it. I know nothing about our modern technology, such as computers and phones. I know it is great when the work, and not great when they do not work. But when it comes to fixing problems with these things, forget it, I just cannot do it. I probably should not use computers, I am just not computerized enough. But that is the way it goes. I still like them. I like phones too, but I certainly can’t use my phone to write a blog post.

Some goldeneye ducks at the river last January.

I know some people do it. Perhaps if my posts were shorter and had no pictures I could do it. But I still do not think it would be fun. I like to see what I am doing. Oh well. Does this count as a ‘rant’?😂 It was not supposed to be, just some chatter for Tuesday. It will not be like this every Tuesday, honest. The birds are busy out there, it is snowing lightly, but the windows are still frosted so I can’t see what is going on. It is milder today again, 2F (-17C), so maybe I will spend some time outside with the birds today. I hope you all have a most wonderful day and God bless!

  1. Sorry your laptop is being a goob! I cannot afford the internet so I use my phone for creating all my posts. It’s not too bad except when my fingers can’t keep up with my brain and key words in a sentence go missing.

  3. how old is your computer? it may just be showing its age. if you havent done so, do a search of your problem in your help. it would be rare you have a virus unless you do a lot of online web site visits. i post on my phone sometimes. usually i up load photos first then use the laptop to write. but when i use the phone to write a post, i usually use talk to text and then edit as needed since talk to text doesnt always places exactly what i say. lol

    • It’s 3 years old. I can’t see it being a virus either, I don’t go to very many sites. I was talking to our help guy from my internet provider, he figured it was due to the high volume of traffic right now since everyone is at home again, schools are back to online learning too. Being in what they label an isolated area, our internet isn’t always the best anyway. He said that heavy use in the area can cause this type of problem. Here 10 channels per neighborhood is normal, but there are 26 in my neighborhood. So it can slow things down and cause those brief freezes. I did do a help search today, but didn’t really find anything useful. Thanks Buddy.
