For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning on this smoky Thursday! Yep, more smoke from those forest fires that just do not want to quit it seems. There are still a lot of fires burning in western Canada and here in our own northwestern area of Ontario we still have 32 fires burning. The largest that I noticed on our map is presently about 155,000 acres, or just over 62,000 hectares.
The smoke we are experiencing seems to be coming from our fires up north of us. It has been a very bad year for fires right across the the country this year, although we have had much worse years in our area. Muffin and I were up early again this morning, about 4am early. No point in going back to bed when I wake up at that time.

Ouch! Bit my tongue again, says Skamper.
Muffin had breakfast and went back to bed. Must be nice. I also had breakfast and then sat here watching the morning wake up. I have seen 2 young ring-billed gulls this morning. No other birds. I went for a short walk yesterday afternoon and managed to see a deer, a small doe. I stopped to talk with her a bit while she was munching on some grass.
She was maybe 20 feet away from me. I did not have my camera, but did have my phone, but when I took it out to take a picture of her she decided to walk away. Not very friendly of her. Oh well. Perhaps next time. I also met Charlie, a tiny dog that is often in the main lobby area with his human. He is about the size of Muffin. That was all the wildlife for yesterday.

Have to be careful with these giants giving out peanuts, says Rusty.
It was a beautiful day for a walk though, sunny and 72F (22C), very nice weather for this time of year. I can see that photography opportunities will be limited around here though. That does pose some problems. I like to use photos in my blog posts. Although I do have a lot of photos you have not seen yet, trying to figure out which ones fall into that category will not be easy.
So I might end up repeating some at times. I will try not to do that too often though. Must be time for more coffee while I get started with putting stuff away once again. I had to make some changes, things were not turning out quite the way I wanted. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!

Yes, we are getting more settled all the time, kind of a slow process though. Right now I just feel too worn out to do much. Guess I should relax more for a while.ππΊππββ
