For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It is cloudy again this morning, but mild, with a temperature of 27F (-3C). We are getting a nice mild start to winter this year, although that is expected to change sometime around Christmas. Well, today is the last day of November which means there is only one month left for this year. Quite amazing really.
So much has happened this year, so many changes. I am still not quite sure what that will mean for my blog. But hopefully I will have that figured out by the end of the year. Muffin had her playtime and has gone to see what all the noise is about in the hall. It is just a couple of people talking, but she likes to check whenever people are out in front of our door.

A couple deer walking through the snow.
It is actually quite a quiet place to live, although the street is much busier than I thought it would be. There is just a lot of traffic, big trucks for example, I never thought that so many big trucks would use this street. My plants are certainly doing well sitting in front of this big window. Mostly they are my summer geraniums that I brought inside for the winter.
One of them is actually blooming right now, a nice bright red. Oddly, one of my violets is dying, that does not happen often. Moving over here seemed to be hard on them and I have lost 3 so far and this will make it 4. Perhaps I should move them further away from the window, they do grow better with less sunlight. Not that we have been getting many sunny days this year, it has been a very cloudy year actually. Oh well.

Maybe I will have to buy some more and start over. But the only store that sells them will not be getting any more until January. Right now it is mostly Christmas plants. I hope to start painting my table today. I was going to start yesterday, but as usual, things happen and suddenly the afternoon is gone. But I did get the paint out and have everything ready to go for today, including covering the floor to protect it from any paint spills.
I seldom spill paint, not even drops, but accidents do happen, so it is best to be prepared by covering anything that might be in the way. For this, that just means covering the floor, which is simple. I have to go out this morning, so the painting will be done this afternoon. And hopefully Muffin will not try walking around on the wet paint. She has done that before. Sigh.

Down at the river last winter.
But she usually naps in the afternoon, so that will make it safe. I should have been finished this a long time ago, but it seems there are always delays in one form or another. Oh well, minor details. Hmm, it is snowing right now. Must be time for more coffee. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

Steve, it looks like you are adjusting to your new place. My wife and I enjoy the view from our second floor kitchen balcony and sliding glass door. We are greeted by tall trees, occasional wildlife, and a quiet creek (unless torrential rain sends her out of her channel).
