For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Tandi was meowing excitedly that she had found something important. Aoife went to look right away. ”Hey, looks like a secret door here Steve,” she said. Bouncer went over and smashed his way in since we could not fine any other way to open the door, and we did not have much time. Tiger and Ginger went down the stairs first with their new and very bright headlamps on so we could see down the stairs.
John and Miles went next, then I was about to go but Sky said no. So Crystal, Kristina and Cat went down next. Then they called up that we should come down, so Sky, Aari and myself followed. It was a small room with a small arsenal of weapons of every sort, including explosives. Georgia must have been planning to equip an army of some kind with this stash.
Plus there was more drugs, money and laptops filled with everything imaginable. There was enough on those laptops to put Georgia, her husband and Phil, in prison for a very long time indeed. But first we need to catch them, and now is the time for the police to get involved.
Meanwhile, at the restaurant. Phil had returned with the $500,000 to pay Mandar, though he had no intention of keeping it for himself, that amount of money did not mean anything to him. Mandar talked a bit more with them as he waited for our signal. ”Well dear people, shall we go?” asked Mandar. ”Go where?” asked Georgia, still not really trusting Mandar.
“You wish to be kept safe, do you not?” he asked, “Then come with me, otherwise I cannot be held responsible for what might happen to you.” ”Come Georgia,” said Robert, “we may as well do as he says, it is our only hope.” ”Okay, let’s go,” she grumbled. They went first and Mandar came after, a few steps behind, just in case there was any trouble.”
Once they were outside the door bright lights flooded the area around them, plus the flashing lights of the police vehicles. ”What is this?” yelled Georgia, “We have been tricked!” The police had them quickly surrounded, but Georgia grabbed Phil’s gun and ran over to where she saw me standing and took aim.
But Kat stood in front of me and began walking toward Georgia who began trying to shoot at Kat, without success, the gun just would not work for her. ”You cannot kill a ghost,” Kat told her, “I am already dead, remember?” At that point Georgia screamed and threw the gun which went flying through the air high above Kat’s head.
Then Kat pointed her finger at Georgia and said, “Now, you will die evil woman!” At that Georgia fell to the ground. A couple police officers ran over to her and declared her dead. ”Where did that woman go who killed her?” asked the officer in charge. ”She, she just disappeared right before my eyes,” said Robert, “she really is a ghost. And she was holding a cat that disappeared with her.”
Then the officer asked me about her. ”She really is a ghost,” I said, “she comes and goes as she pleases, along with her cat.” Somehow I do not think the officer believed me. Very strange. Then Robert and Phil tried to accuse Mandar of working for them and that they paid him $500,000 for his help. However, no such money was found on Mandar, or on any of us.
“Maybe that ghost lady took it,” said Robert. ”If you mention ghosts again…”, fumed the officer. Though I am not really sure what he could do about it. Still, that could be a good defense for Robert, he could plead insanity in this case. He would still need a good lawyer though, and since they have no money now, I doubt they will be able to afford a good lawyer.
For us the case is nearly over. There were two other women found with Adoncia, the one we were able to return to her family in Minnesota. Then there was the other woman who would not talk to us at first, she just sat and stared. We took her fingerprints and discovered her name was Alice Winters, so we then set out to track down her husband.
However, when the city police here informed him 6 months ago that his wife was likely in the sex trade now, he then set about to divorce her. He does not want anything to do with her now and even has a court order to keep his wife from seeing their baby. Sky, Kerstina and Galyna had to break this news to her.
For now we will be taking her home with us until she has recovered fully. The girls have been wonderful with her. Adoncia will be buried in the cemetery beside her parents, Amber we will take home with us to be buried in our cemetery. I wonder what will be next for The Investigators?
Case Ended. But a new case is about to begin.

Everything happened so fast, Georgia died and Kat disappeared again. Was the responding police officer one of those that were corrupt? There will have to be a thorough investigation. The information on the computers will be helpful but is a search warrant needed, in order to use the information? Is the prosecutor honest? Looking forward to the new case!

Yes, it did go fast at the end and Kat has an interesting way to disappear suddenly. No, the police officer in charge was a good cop, just a bit confused about what all happened at first. Talking about ghosts did not help things for him, poor guy. Yes, we had a search warrant, we planned this out well this time. Baldwin will have a legal team prosecuting this case, so they will get things done right. Now on to a strange case!🤔👩😼😼😼😼😼😼😼🕵️♂️
