For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
While on Mandar’s medical jet, Dr. Jorgenson checked Sky and myself. “I was told that this woman had a large gash in the side of her head,” he said to Bridgette, “this is not large, only a small cut.” “Um, yes, that is true,” said Bridgette, blushing somewhat, “it was me that said it was a large gash, and it looked like it was at the time. I am not sure what happened, but once Jennifer cleaned it up with water, that is all it was.”
“And who is Jennifer?” he asked. “That would be me,” said Jennifer from behind him. “Who gave you permission to be in here?” he asked. “She is one of Steve and Sky’s bodyguards,” said Bridgette, “she is allowed to be wherever they are. She seems to have a good knowledge of medical issues and helps us a lot in the field until regular medical help is available.”
“Oh, very good,” he said, “sorry if I sounded grumpy, I am just not used to people coming in on their own like that.” “That is alright,” said Jennifer, “I should have said something when I came in.” He then returned to talking with Bridgette and showing her how the gash in Sky’s head was larger, but had healed, something that puzzled him.
Bridgette looked over at Jennifer who just smiled back. Jennifer was looking at x-rays of my back and looked rather concerned. Dr. Jorgenson noticed this and went to talk with her, showing her the two vertebrae that were broken, but also a nerve that had been severed completely. “That nerve,” said Jennifer, “means that Steve will not be able to walk, and it also must be giving him terrible pain.”
“Yes, that is why I gave him something so he would sleep,” he replied, “but how did you know about that nerve?” “Oh, I have studied a bit about back issues since Steve has problems with his back,” she said, “this is where he was shot, twice, and it still gives him problems.” “I thought perhaps that was gunshot wounds,” he said, “nerves here are damaged, which gives him his pain.”
Just then Sky woke up groaning so the Dr. went to look at her. Bridgette watched Jennifer as she rubbed my back. The helicopters arrived to pick up Matt and the rest of the team and they are now back at home again. I am still in the clinic, the only one of our team. Even Sky was back home after only a day.
Here it is 4 days for me and I still cannot get out of bed without help. Dr. Jorgenson cannot understand why I am walking already, I should not be walking at all. That nerve, though somewhat damaged, is no longer severed and he does not understand why, he just shakes his head. Sky comes in with Jennifer to visit, and another visitor too, Agata, who was all smiles.
The girls had her out shopping for clothes and she spotted a beautiful blue dress and was completely captivated by it. She could not remember ever owning a dress and when she found out my favorite color was blue, she begged Jennifer for it. Now she wanted to show me, so Jennifer put her on the chair by the bed so I could see her.
“That is a beautiful dress for a beautiful girl,” I said. By this time Aasta had caught up and translated for her. Then she wanted to lie down beside me and said something, followed by “daddy”. “That is my fault,” said Aasta, “she misunderstood when I explained why I called my father “daddy” all the time and said that I loved him.
So now she thinks that is another word to use when you love someone. Oh, and she said, “I love you”. “Sounds kind of nice though,” said Sky smiling. I smiled at Agata and she cuddled up nice and close. After our visit I called Rock to find out what is happening with Carole Ann. “You just relax Steve,” he said, “we will take care of things.”
There are some things I wish people would not say to me, such as “relax”, and “do not worry.” Baldwin hired Dr. Jorgenson and he is fitting in nicely with everyone. Honey and Agata are actually gaining weight already and cannot believe all the food we have.
As for Carole Ann, she seems to have disappeared, which I find rather odd. She has probably gone to enlist the help of other family members, so we dare not let down our guard. Today, Jennifer, Dawn, Amber and Mac are here at the clinic as my bodyguards. Mandar’s Team 4 is guarding the clinic. It is calm and quiet. But I am not, and neither is Jennifer…
To Be Continued.

Jennifer definitely has a healing touch. So glad Steve is recovering. He does need to rest. Somehow, it seems that Carole Ann will be there soon with reinforcements. You and Sky cannot rest because something tells you the respite will be short. Sounds like you have a new daughter in Agata.

Yes, I definitely need to rest, but how much will I get before Carole Ann returns? I am not quite sure how Jennifer does it, but somehow she does seem to manage to help in an emergency, just like Kat has done.
Yes, it could be we have a new daughter, even if not officially. But perhaps we could adopt her, will have to wait and see.π€π©πΌπ΅οΈββοΈ

Rested people are able to plan well and execute the plans. It is time to rest and to devise a great trap for Carole Ann. You need to keep Jennifer and Kat with you. They are not replaceable. Agata will have to be adopted because she has already adopted you.

Yes, rest is essential and I am working on a plan to trap Carole Ann and anyone else with her. We cannot afford to let her get away this time. Yes, Kat and Jennifer will be kept with Sky and myself at all times now, we need them, not just for us but for the whole team. I think you are right, she has adopted me already. I will need to talk with Honey about this too.π€π©πΊπ΅οΈββοΈ

Hope the plan works to trap Carole Ann. Honey might want to be footed also!

I hope so too, but, sometimes plans have to be changed quickly due to circumstances, as we shall see.
Yes, I am quite sure Honey would also like to be adopted, even though she is old enough to look after herself.

Yes, sometimes the chronological age and the emotional age are not the same. Honey has looked after herself, paying a big cost. Adoption would be for emotional growth not economic reasons. I am sure Carole Ann is going to show and attack you soon.

Yes, I agree, Honey does need the emotional growth. She is more like she is 12 or 13 in some ways. She and Agata need to learn some real family love from us, plus help from all the other girls.
I think Carole Ann is closer than we realize.

Yes, Carole Ann is striking soon and she will have family members with her or they are coming right after her. The team will have their hands full.

Well, this time Carole Ann is going to lose, no matter who she has with her. Yes, we will have our hands full for a while, but our team will win.

Good to know you and your team have a plan to counteract Carole Annβs plot. Hope you can start while in the van. She must be stopped. Hopefully, you can predict her behavior accurately. She is wicked and ruined many lives. Glad to hear the girls will be inside as it is not safe for them outdoors. Hopefully, they will follow the rules and not subvert them. Trust Carole Ann does not think clearly or bring In Christopher or her other relatives. You should be trackable, so you can be followed. Have to think clearly!

Hopefully our first plan will work, but if not, we will try one of the others we have ready to bring into play. Yes, it will be started in the van and with the help of the police. Yes, predicting her behavior is essential right now for things to work and hopefully without casualties on our side. If all goes well, the girls will not have to spend much time indoors anyway, but I’m sure they will listen. Christopher is now dead, Jennifer made sure of that. Like Kat, when she gives one kick to the head, the person does not get up again. However, other relatives could be around. All of us now have our new trackers planted in us, though we need to do Honey and Agata now too.π€π©πΌπ΅οΈββοΈ

Glad to hear Christopher is dead but there are other relatives. Have to see how your plan unfolds in the van.
