For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It is a cloudy, cool and very windy day here with just a little light snow falling. We really do not have much snow left. As I look out my window there is mostly ground showing now, with patches of white. Last week we enjoyed 52F (11C) and this week it is down to -16F (-26C). That is quite a difference.
My arthritis is certainly not enjoying the change. For that matter, the rest of me is not too thrilled either. However, it is winter and this weather is quite normal for this time of year. Hmm, I see it is snowing more heavily right now and although there is still not much snow on the ground, everything is now white again.

This is Ned, the Red-breasted Nuthatch.
They are doing more work in our building again this week. This time they are changing the thermostats. These new ones are supposed to be better. When we walk into a room they will turn on the heat, when we leave the room the heat will be turned off. Saves on the heating bill. It also makes for cold rooms. It will be interesting to see if we get to adjust those temps or if they will be pre adjusted to certain temperatures.

He always enjoyed hanging around my feeders.
Oh well. Minor details. They also need to turn off the electricity while they do this work. That means my printer will get turned off. It does not like that and it lets me know that every time it happens, which is 3 times now. I have to reset it each time. It gets harder to do each time as well. My previous printer was like that too, and it finally quit working entirely.
Oh well. Minor details. Several geese are back now, but I am sure they do not like this return to colder temperatures and snow. Maybe they will head back south for a while until it warms up again. Which could be a while. Probably the end of the month. Or sometime in April. Sigh. I have not seen any ravens or crows flying around out there today.

Ned was not the only one, Theodora the Wild Turkey also enjoyed visiting the feeder.
Guess they are staying hidden a bit. Smart birds. Hmm, back to just light snow again. Muffin woke up and is now on my lap purring. I think she is trying to tell me something. Hard to know what she wants though. Sometimes I get the impression that I guess wrong. Very strange. Now the sun is almost shining. Interesting weather today. Well, I hope you all have a great day and God bless!
