Hi ho to all of you today!😺 It time for more fun for all of you from me, Muffin! I so glad that all of you enjoy my funnies posts so much, that make me so happy. It make my human happy too because it mean his feet not get sore. He not like sore feet. So I ask him if he not like sore feet, then why he keep kicking things, like table legs, chair legs, the bottom of my scratching post, cabinets, doors and even walls! I say he like sore feet or he would not be doing that all the time. I mean, sometimes he kicking things several times a day and each time he jump around holding foot going “ow, ow, ow”. Then he try to tell me he not like sore feet. Ha! Hmm, he not kick anything yet today, maybe I should help him and bite feet. Yep, that good idea.😹 I do that while you read todays funnies…

Two mothers were talking about their sons. The first said, “My son is such a saint.  He works hard, doesn’t smoke, and he hasn’t so much as looked at a woman in over two years.”

The other woman said, “Well, my son is a saint himself.  Not only hasn’t he not looked at a woman in over three years, but he hasn’t touched a drop of liquor in all that time.”

“My word,” the first mother said.  “You must be so proud.”

“I am,” the second mother replied.  “And when he’s paroled next month, I’m going to throw him a big party.”

CHURCH BULLETIN BLOOPERS

~ Bertha Belch, a missionary from Africa will be speaking tonight, come and hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa.

~ Miss Charlene Mason sang “I will not pass this way again” giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.

~ “Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don’t forget your husbands.”

~ The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled due to a conflict.

~ Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

~ Don’t let worry kill you off –let your friends help.

~ Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church.
So ends a wonderful friendship that began in their school days.

~ A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.

I wonder what my parents did to fight boredom before the internet? I asked my 18 siblings and they don’t know either.

    • Hehehe!😹😹😂😂 But that not think up one, that real one! All those Church bulletin bloopers are real ones! My human too sore these days, I give him break from bites for day or two.
      Hey Dusty! Have you retrieved your flying dock yet? No, wait, that’s floating duck. No, wait, that’s flying duck. No, wait, that’s a floating dock that flies for fishing. Got it now!😊

      • No, I am waiting for my Grandson’s help as it’s kinda heavy and more than I can do on my own. Maybe this week after work sometime.

      • yeah, i’ve seriously given thought to just selling this place. the problem is getting something that I could afford to buy to live in. The townhouses would be a good replacement, but just to costly to afford during retirement. Maybe I just need to forget about the dock and boat…🤔

      • Speaking of townhouses, they are building some in town and people had to put 50 thousand down and now there is a problem with the company and people are being asked to put more money down before they will start work again. So people will be paying double, but there is still no clear start up date yet.

      • I don’t know if would be willing to do that! Seems like they are trying to finance the building off of the people that are buying. Sounds shady to me!

      • Yep, but it has been happening all across the country. One big project in the south of our province was really bad, people paid 1 hundred thousand down, then were told they had to put in another hundred thousand, then the company declared bankruptcy so the people have now lost their money which was the life savings for a lot of them.

      • I would be livid!!🚀🤬 I hope the company people were prosecuted for fraud…. But I guess one has to be there own best protection policy… What a shame… 😬

      • Unfortunately the way the law is, the people working in that company can’t be prosecuted since none of them owned the company, it was owned by a larger company. But a clause in the contract states that the parent company is in no way liable for any part of the project, therefore they are safe from prosecution as well. The law concerning these things needs to be tightened so parent companies can’t escape prosecution. Yep, it is terrible, spending all that money and not getting anything.

      • Nope, no doctor and no other way to get my meds, I have checked into everything. So, I have 7 weeks left to find a doctor. Well, I must go for now, might be back this evening, if not I will be here at noon tomorrow.

      • Yeah, I know, these things happen, I have had comments taking hours to get through to people lately. Sigh. Oh, I’m here now if you’re here now unless you’re not here now but I’m still here now if you have some time now.😀

      • That’s the weather in the far north tundra of Canadia! 🥶 But I think it’s supposed to turn warmer again this week isn’t it? It was in the 80’s here yesterday! Very nice day! My son-in-law even came with his brother to setup my dock. Now that’s all done and the pontoon is in then water. What a relief to have off my mind. I think it’s time to seriously consider selling this place. I’m just not able to do the maintenance anymore. Sigh 😔

      • Yep, the weather here is unpredictable but no real warming trend this week, next week looks good though. Only 48 here right now, might make 55 today, maybe 60 tomorrow, then clouds and rain move in for the rest of the week, well, showers, not rain. We were blanketed in heavy smoke from forest fires yesterday, cleared off today. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for some pictures. Today would be nice for that but my friend was busy. Yeah, maintenance is always an issue, that is why I sold my cottage years ago, just could not keep up with the maintenance.

      • Maybe that was why the air here was so hazy? The wind was from the Northwest so maybe it brought in the smoke. It’s a nice shiny day out there today though.
        I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the sunshine tomorrow, I saw an Oriole at the feeder this weekend and a pair of Bright Yellow finches! Very pretty! I was going to ask you… are there 3 different sizes of Woodpeckers? 🤔 I have seen 3 different sizes and I was surprised by that. I thought there were only 2.

      • Yep, that was likely it, that northwest wind brought in the smoke here, from northern Alberta and BC. They have some bad fires again with 3 towns evacuated now.
        Oh, that means Orioles should be here next week, the goldfinches should be here now though I haven’t seen any yet.
        For woodpeckers, the smallest is the Downy, then there is the Hairy, Black-backed, Northern and Sapsucker, all about the same size, then the Flicker, and the big crow sized Pileated. So that makes 4 sizes. You probably don’t get the Black-backed or Northern 3-Toed down there.😀

      • Ok, he manages to perch himself on the birdfeeder and eat which is kind of fun to watch 🤭 He’s a little oversized for it…
        It’s fun to see how many different types of birds there are actually around this area that i’ve never noticed before.

      • Well, if he’s more black and white, that would be the Hairy woodpecker, both kinds will come to feeders and hang on in awkward positions sometimes to get at the food. Both love sunflower seeds the best, or peanuts. Yep, bird feeders help to bring birds around and that in turn brings birds around that don’t even come to bird feeders. Birds attract birds!😀

      • That must be the one, I’ll look it up online and see if it looks like him.
        Yeah, I think I might get another feeder… It seems they line up in the trees and wait for one to leave then the next one takes it’s place. Round Robin…so to speak 😂😂😂

      • Cornel Lab of Ornithology is a great site, lists all N American birds. It’s a US site, best one out there. Easy to use and has bird songs too.

      • It’s actually been kinda quiet around here, though we did have a power failure Saturday evening. A couple ladies down the hall were not thrilled, they were just on their way out and had to walk down 6 flights of stairs. Hope they were not going shopping, they would have been disappointed. The whole town was out and for 30 miles around us!

      • Better today! Last few were kinda tough though. That whole putting in the dock thing really took a toll on my body and joints! How are things with you? Were you able to get out and about the past few days?

      • It has been kinda cool and rainy here. I did go out on Tuesday for some spring pics but ended up hurting my back. I wasn’t feeling the best to start, but it was sunny so I wanted to get out. By the time we made it to the first park the sun was hidden behind hazy clouds. Not what I wanted for this spring look, but I took pics anyway until the back gave out. Very rainy and cool today so I am not doing so good.
        I can imagine it would have been rough working with that dock. Guess us guys need to slow down a bit.😬

      • Yeah, that’s the same answer I came back with also. Sorry I’m behind the last few days, my work partner is off on vacation and I’m covering for him again!!!🤬 But I only have 6 1/2 months to go and then I no longer need to do it again!!!😀😉

      • Yeah, sorry, I’ve trying to catch up to you while working, so it’s on me being slow today. I’ll tell you, I’ve been really aging physically this past year. I just don’t have the energy or ability to recover like I used to do. It’ kinda scary some days.

      • I am ready for things to calm down though! Just to much stuff coming at one time. I’m feeling like I’m losing track of time and not able to concentrate. Very frustrated and anxious lately. Kinda crabby I’m afraid too!🙇🏻‍♂️

      • We tend to get a couple warm days, then it cools off and rains, more rain later today and tomorrow. It’s actually very dark right now with those clouds that moved in.
        Feeling sorta better, yesterday and today I have been in a lot of pain though but that could be the weather with this storm system coming in.

      • i get the same way. the past few weeks has been really uncomfortable for me. my back has been burning again. I think because of the weather.

      • Have you been able to get outside and walk much? I sure haven’t. I need to get my heel surgery so I can get back to it. Just not crazy about going through the surgery and rehab process.

      • No, I haven’t been out too much, not regular like I should be anyway. I need to get back at that again.
        Yeah, I can understand that, the rehab is not really fun.
