The team was now at the fence and just a few steps away from their freedom. “I don’t understand how all these soldiers can be walking around,” said Aurora, “and yet, they act as though they don’t see us.” “That is because they don’t see us,” said Jennifer casually, “remember your miracle. I am preventing them from seeing and hearing us. Can you trust me right now?

Later I will do some explaining, once we are at home and safe.” “I do trust you Jennifer,” she said, “otherwise I would not be here.” Then Aurora saw the lion jumping over the fence and landing beside them. Then it came over to Aurora and rubbed against her, so she petted the lion. “When I prayed for a miracle,” said Aurora, “I never expected this!”

She and Sapphire then climbed onto the lion and were strapped on safely. Then with a huge leap the lion jumped over the fence, landing safely on the other side. Sky was also busy jumping the fence while one of the girls held onto her. However, the guys were kind of big and Sky wasn’t too sure about jumping the fence with one of them holding onto her.

So, our friendly lion took them one by one. Rock was the last one and Sky had stayed behind so she could keep him invisible. Finally the lion came back and it was his turn. “Um, are you sure she can carry a big guy like me?” he asked Sky. “Scared you might fall off Rock?” she asked in return, “Just do as your told and everything will be fine.”

But, Rock let go of Sky before he touched the lion and he was then visible. One of the soldiers yelled that there was a man over there…and a woman too he had added afterward as Sky made herself visible. “Quick Rock, touch the lion!” she said. He did so and immediately disappeared. But Sky stood there, still visible and the soldier shot a couple of times.

But Sky stood there looking at the soldiers. Now there were 4 of them shooting at her, yet she continued to stand there. Then she shot some bolts of electricity, killing all four soldiers. Then the Colonel, Aurora’s aunt, showed up and saw Sky. Sky pointed at the fence, just briefly and the Colonel looked, seeing her niece safe, standing beside Sapphire. They both smiled, then walked away.

The Colonel smiled too, knowing that her niece was now safe. Sky then jumped over the fence, doing a complete flip as she did so and landing safely on the other side. Another soldier had arrived beside the Colonel and was about to shoot at Sky who was already on the other side. “NO, you fool!” exclaimed the Colonel, “Do you not see all the soldiers on that side?

Do you want to cause a major incident? That woman is not one we are looking for anyway.” Back with our team again. “I am very happy that my aunt was able to see that I was now safe,” said Aurora, “it just makes me feel so much better.” “Yes, we are all happy that she was able to see you Aurora,” said Jennifer. “You do have a lot of friends I see,” remarked Aurora.

“This is only a few of them,” said Sapphire, “wait until you get to meet everyone!” “I really am looking forward to that,” she said smiling, “I have never had a friend that I could trust, or talk with, or share things with, my entire life. It was forbidden in my family and I never understood why until 2 years ago when my parents were killed.” “Well, now you will have many friends with us,” said Sapphire. They were on one of our jets, a larger one, on the way back home.

“By the way,” said Aurora to Sky, “you and Angel look like twins.” “Triplets actually,” said Sky, “the third one is at home. Her name is Crystal. Although we are really just cousins, but our mothers were triplets and the 3 of us were all born within days of each other. Jennifer and Kat are real identical twins though.” “And Jennifer is married to your top leader, correct?” asked Aurora.

“Yes, that’s right,” said Sapphire, “although he used to be married to Kat first.” “Oh, why did they get divorced?” she asked. “They didn’t,” said Sapphire, “Kat was killed and then he married Sky.” “Yes, then when I was killed, Steve married Jennifer,” added Sky. Then Jennifer waved to Sky to come over to her, which she did. “I think I’m a bit confused,” said Aurora.

“That’s okay, Jennifer did say she would explain things to you once we get home,” said Sapphire smiling. “I’m looking forward to that,” she said giggling. Right then Jewel, Tracker and Moonbeam came over to the girls so they could be introduced to Aurora, although Jewel had already met her before. “Oh, you have 3 cats!” exclaimed Aurora, “I love cats, but have never had one.”

“Actually, we have 19 regular cats and 4 wildcats,” said Aasta, who had now joined the conversation. “Yes, I have met the huge lion already,” said Aurora. “Oh, right, I wasn’t counting our lion,” said Aasta. “How could you forget something so big?” asked Aurora laughing. Well, it was good to know our team was heading back home, all of them safe, including Burk, who had been flying that helicopter remotely.

I am looking forward to meeting Aurora. It is also nice to relax again with Jennifer sitting beside me. Yes, Sky and Jennifer returned home, leaving the plane, ahead of the others and we all need a time to relax again after this case. But I’m sure our relaxing will be short, I can tell.

  1. After all the intense times, rescuing the girls from the penal colony,, going into freedom was easy. Rock forgot to follow the rules but it. The ghosts really helped make this seem easy. Angel is a wonderful lion and sure helped get everyone safely into Latvia. You might have a core group for a Russian speaking team. Glad Burk is okay.

    • Yes, the last part was quite easy compared to the rest of the rescue. Our ghosts were certainly a huge help to us, Sky with her amazing jumping ability and even Carine is good with this too. Angel the lion is amazing and perhaps we need to give her a name when she is a lion. So far we have just called her Angel kitty, something Sky started since her and Angel work together all the time. Yes, our Russian speaking members could become very important for us in the future. There are a couple of others who can also speak Russian. We needed to keep our team small going into Russia so those 2 were not included, but were with Aari if needed. Yes, Burk is training to become our pilot for all remotely operated vehicles we might use. We want to train one of the girls for this too eventually, though we don’t plan to use too many such vehicles. Now for a rest, which I think will be short for our team.🤔👩👻🦁🕵️‍♂️

      • Rest is necessary but in short supply for your team.. trust the team gets the rest that is needed. The Russian speaking team is sure to be featured in the future, does Angel Lion really need a new name?

      • Yes, rest is limited on this team, but at least we have more than half our team that is well rested and could go on a case right away. The only reason for a new name for Angel the lion is when talking to other people. If possible we don’t want others to know that Angel is the lion. However, I haven’t been able to find a name that seems to fit, so for now it remains Angel kitty.🦁🕵️‍♂️

  2. Well, the girls and the team could probably use a few days off after all the physical work they had to do with this last case. That lion 🦁 does he have a name? Leo sounds appropriate, don’t you think?🤔

    • Yes, the team needs some time to relax, though most of our team is ready for another case. I have been thinking about a name for our lion, so far Sky just calls her Angel kitty, since Sky and Angel work together all the time. However, it would be nice to give Angel a special name while she is a lion. Leo unfortunately sounds too masculine. Since most of our team wasn’t involved in this case, we are ready to tackle a new case right away. I wonder what it will be?🤔👩😼👻🦁🕵️‍♂️

    • Burk’s helicopter was regular size though. I’d love to try flying a hobby size one though, or even a plane. But we have so many trees around here I would be constantly hiring squirrels to get it down for me!😂😂🚁

  6. That’s for sure! One needs lots of open space for flying both planes and choppers! The rc choppers can do amazing things with the right pilot at the controls.

  11. I can understand that. I guess you have a thicker skin than I do.😂 But that’s what it takes to get the picture in focus. What’s doing tomorrow? Shopping for groceries?

    • Yep, shopping tomorrow, possibly taking out the garbage. I would like to go for a walk, but those sidewalks are just complete ice right now. Even with the warmer weather they still stay icy. Might be 41 tomorrow, but then it’s back below freezing for the remainder of the week. I might repot a couple more plants tomorrow.🤔🌱🪴

  13. Hey, good morning ! Naw, just finished my salad for lunch. Now getting ready to go out and do my walk for a few hours. How ’bout you? Shopping all done plants reported? Feed Muffin yet?😸😸

    • I didn’t go out for a walk, you did. I only did one plant today. Had to work with the soil to get what I needed, kinda making my own blend since I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted. Tomorrow I can skip that part and just do some repotting. Takes longer than it looks, I want them to survive.😂🙄🪴

    • No story for today, the first chapter will be out tomorrow though. I was having trouble getting my thoughts together thoughtfully. I know what I want to write about, but every time I try it just doesn’t come out right to write.

    • Yeah, me too, I think, kinda hard to tell sometimes. How was your walk? Guess what? It got up to 45 today and sunny! Going to get a bit cold for the next few days though.

  18. The walk was 4 miles. But I need to travel a bit to get to the trails. But it’s a very nice trail system with concrete walkways and water channels with ducks and egrets and songbirds.

    • Wow, sounds like a great place to walk! We’re still old fashioned up here, we use dirt for our walking trails, although 2 have been upgraded to concrete, but they are short. None are close by unfortunately. Well, guess it’s time to sign off again, having trouble keeping my eyes open, didn’t sleep well again last night. Good night and talk tomorrow!😊

    • Good morning Dusty! I wasn’t around yesterday myself until later in the day. Sunny but cooler today, about 20 right now, going to get colder though. Accuweather says that we will likely be getting a period of severe cold that could last 4 weeks or more beginning mid to late March and going into April. Not a nice thought.🌞🙄🤔

      Yeah, I hope they’re wrong too, bad time for cold weather to hit us! I got my plants repotted except one, I need to buy another pot, I forgot about that when shopping Monday.🙄

    • Well, there was a tiger tooth aloe, Lace aloe, 2 Tiger aloes, Peperomia, Lipstick plant, Hoya Krimson Princess, Calathea (2 varieties, one more to go when I get another pot), also have 2 African violets to repot but they are flowering right now so have to wait until they stop. The lipstick plant was the first one I did about 2 weeks ago and it has really started growing now!😊🪴I will be sharing my repotting experiences on my blog shortly.

    • Well, there really isn’t any scent from them right now, a bit from the geraniums, but that’s it. Once some of them start flowering it should be nice. But most of them don’t flower, their beauty is in their multi colored leaves.😀🌱

  25. Good! This just came through!🫤 I’m not sure why it took so long…. maybe the new tariffs are sliding it down. I woke up at 3:30 this morning, got up at 4:30, and went back to bed at 8:00 and slept until 11. But I feel rested, at least!

    • Could be, those tariffs are already raising prices in our stores, especially groceries, sure doesn’t take long.
      Yep, I have decided that if I wake up early, I will just get up and do something for a while and then go back to bed later. That way I get things done and don’t feel as tired. Except sometimes, like yesterday, I felt terrible yesterday. Feeling good today though, slept better which helps for sure.

    • I’m back now!😊 Wow, I couldn’t believe it, I lay down for my nap and I was gone for a couple hours!🙄 Then I made supper and I’m now eating. But I’m back! You still around?🤔😀

    • No, I still need to buy another pot so I can finish that one plant which is kind of big.
      Yeah, I’ll be going to bed early too since it’s such an early morning tomorrow for laundry.

    • Got my laundry done this morning, had a short nap right after breakfast, been doing some reading of blogs, tried writing the next chapter of my story but kinda got myself tied up in a corner. Chapter 2 didn’t come out quite right so I’m having a little trouble, but it’ll work.

  32. I didn’t think it was overly long. You picked a good place to stop today.
    Each day is one closer to warmer weather. It’s supposed to hit 91 here tomorrow. I’m gonna go try to fly tomorrow. Hopefully, it won’t be too windy or warm, so I can stay awhile.

      I like to stop at such a place if I can, doesn’t always work though.🙄
      I was up at 1:30 for about half an hour, then up to stay at just after 3, so I need another nap. I’m having trouble staying awake. Sigh. I think it’s old age. 😂 I’ll be back in a bit, going to set my alarm this time so I don’t sleep too long like yesterday! ⏰🥱

  38. No, I’m home today! I spent all day yesterday out flying and house hunting. Then tomorrow my grandsons are coming and I will be out sightseeing with them with a little road trip to a Naval museum. They will be headed home on Thursday morning. I likely won’t be online from tomorrow until Thursday afternoon.

    • Hey, nice that your grandsons are coming for a visit. That Naval museum sounds interesting. That is something I would love to see! I will try to remember that you won’t be around. Rats, you’re going to miss all those important chapters of my latest story. Don’t forget last night’s chapter and there will likely be one tonight too! 😀🕵️‍♂️

    • Not much really, did a bit of spring cleaning and looked at my hall closet and almost had myself convinced to start sorting through all that stuff. Maybe next time I’ll actually get started! It’s 43 here today and mainly sunny.

    • I’m back! Muffin woke up and wanted attention, plus food. Yep, shopping for surely, providing I’m feeling okay, my back has been complaining a lot this evening, so I’ll see what I feel like in the morning.
