For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Kat had sent Catalina and Cinnamon to watch the grandparents and shortly after they arrived, a large, older black limousine arrived. Two men got out of the back, one carrying a briefcase, and they went up to the house. The girls drove up closer and parked across the street. The 2 men had gone inside the house by this time.
Cinnamon had already called Kat who wasn’t too far away with several other girls. The driver of the limousine looked across at the girls sitting in their van. “Hey girl, get out of here!” he yelled. Cinnamon didn’t say anything, just smiled. “I told you to leave little girl!” he yelled again. “Come and make me, big boy,” she said smiling, “or are you afraid of a little girl?”
Catalina had her cat, Boots, along with them too, and she had already sent him across the street to hide and wait for the men to come out of the house. The man got out of the car and began to walk across the street. The other man also got out of the car, but stayed beside it.
Cinnamon then quickly pulled her gun out and shot the man coming to her who already had his gun out and pointed at her. She then closed the window, fast, just as the second man shot at her. Fortunately our vans are also bullet proof. Then Boots went into action and “Thwock!”, the second man fell to the ground, dead.
Then the girls heard a couple of shots from inside the house, so they got out and ran across the street. Kat and more Wildcats arrived just then as the first two men came out of the house, one holding one of Tammy and Ezra’s kids. However, Kat and her Wildcats blocked the men’s escape. But the man holding the little boy put his gun to the boy’s head and told the girls to stand aside.
The girls did, somewhat, except for Kat. “I will make you a deal,” she said, “I will stand here and if you can shoot me, you will be allowed to leave with the boy. But, if you can’t shoot me, then you leave the boy here. If you kill that little boy, then you and your friend are dead, so I would suggest you take my deal. I will just stand here, you can shoot me anywhere you like.”
The man thought for a moment and he realized there was no other way for them to get away alive. So, he shot. Kat didn’t stop the gun from working, though she could have, but she wanted to do it this way first. “You missed,” she said, “but I will give you 4 more tries.” He aimed and shot again. The bullet hit the car…right behind Kat. “It went right through her!” exclaimed the other man.
“That’s impossible,” grumbled the first man and he shot again. Once again the bullet went through her and hit the car. “Here, let me move a bit closer,” said Kat and she took 2 steps. He shot again, which makes 4 tries. The bullet went through Kat again and hit the car. “You’re a bad shot Mister whoever,” said Kat, “but you still have one shot left.”
He called his friend over and gave the boy to him. Then he walked closer to Kat so his gun was just 3 feet away from her and he shot…the bullet went right through her again and smashed the rear window of the car. “Whoa!” said the other man, “That ain’t real! It went right through her Trent!” “Looks like you missed again,” said Kat, smiling.
“That’s not possible!” shouted Trent and he tried hitting Kat but his hand went through her too. “Trent, she ain’t real…sh, she’s a ghost!” said the other man. “Your friend is right,” said Kat, “I am a ghost, that’s why you can’t kill me, I’m already dead.” Then her head disappeared and came back as just a skull. “This is how I actually look now, down in my grave,” said Kat casually.
Then she quickly kicked the man twice, in the stomach, and he fell to the ground, groaning. Then Aoife went to the man who was now holding the little boy, put her gun to his head and told him to give her his gun and let go of the boy. He did so right away. “Her legs moved so fast they were just a blur,” he said quietly.
Aoife then took the boy to his grandparents, but she came right back out and yelled to Kat that Trent had killed the grandfather. Trent was now getting back on his feet, slowly. “If you had left the grandparents alone,” she said, “I would have let you go.” One last, quick, kick to the man’s head and he fell to the ground, dead.
Then Kat turned to the last man. He pleaded for his life saying he had never killed anyone and he has a wife and little boy too. Kat told him he should be at home with his family, then she said to put his dead friends in the car and leave before she changes her mind and kills him too. He moved amazingly fast, getting those bodies into the car and driving away.
He went directly to Finders’ office and ran inside, telling Finders and the others with him, what had happened and that he was now quitting. Finders told his secretary to give him his paycheck for the month, which she did. “Make sure your name is spelled correctly before you go,” said Finders, grinning. The man looked at the check, and in place of his name was the word “Dead”.
The man looked up at Finders, who was now standing with 2 of his large bodyguards and the secretary sitting behind her desk. All of them were smiling, then they began to laugh and one of the bodyguards shot the man. “Get rid of all the bodies,” said Finders, “Lois, find out all you can about those Wildcats, if they even exist.” “Yes sir,” said Lois.
Later she told him that the Wildcats do exist as a gang in Europe, the leader being a woman named Kat. They are estimated to have 70 to 80 members, all women. Apparently they hate men.” “I wonder why they are here?” asked Finders, “And why were they helping Tammy’s parents?” “Well, for the second question,” she began, “it could have been coincidence.
They hate men and saw our guys dragging a screaming kid and they decided to intervene. No idea why they would be in the city though.” “Hmm, you might be right,” said Finders, “it was stupid for Trent to shoot the grandfather, that will just make those new security people that Ezra hired, more diligent. We need to move things along a bit faster.”
A short time later Finders got a phone call. “Why did you have to do that?” asked the woman. “I assure you that was a complete mistake,” said Finders, “he was not supposed to do that. I guarantee that nothing like that will happen again.” “I sure hope not,” she said, “remember, we had a deal, I was doing fine without you and I can go back to doing things that way.”
“Hey, I’m getting you a lot more money than you were making before,” said Finders, “so don’t try to push me around.” “Just remember, I’m stronger than you right now,” said the woman, “so be careful.” She then hung up. Finders pounded the desk with his fist.
To Be Continued.

Who is the woman that Finders is working with? Someone you have encountered previously? Probably! She is right, killing the grandfather was unnecessary. Kidnapping the young boy wasn’t wise either. Kat spooked the men before dealing with them. Hope that Ezra starts talking to Steve before he dies. Maybe Steve should question Tammy.

Yes, I would like to find out who that is. Quite possibly someone we know like Medina, or maybe Helene that we met just briefly at the prison that didn’t exist, or maybe even Vanessa from our time in Norway, although she should still be in prison. But, it could even be someone new. She certainly didn’t like what Finders did, she has more intelligence than he does. Killing the grandfather will just make us more determined to stop Finders and whoever he is working with. Yes, I need to talk with Ezra and Tammy, but separately, maybe we can catch them in some lies. Someone is lying. π€π©πΎπ»π΅οΈββοΈ

Someone is lying and things do not add up with their talk and walk. Must be something illegal.

Yes, that would certainly seem to be the case. Chapter 6, which is now available to read, might shed some light on things for us.π€π΅οΈββοΈ
