Hi, hi everyone!😻 I back again with more fun funnies for friends, and that mean you! I a little late this week, me sorry for that, it my fault, kinda. It hot in here these days and I not able to go outside on balcony room anymore. Sniff, sniff. Cats next door come over here and fight me and they win, so now balcony room is their territory. That in the cat rule book. Whoever win fight gets territory.

I not young anymore and can’t fight younger cats and there is 3 of them. Oh well. My human tell me it still my territory cause he chase other cats away, so he win fight. Maybe he right, but I still scared to go out there. It cooler out there and I used to like going out there to have cat nap in afternoon. But, cooler weather has come back now so maybe it cool off in here.

My human go shopping yesterday and nothing funny happen again. At least, that what he tell me. Sometimes me not so sure. I tell him he need to try harder. He did do one thing that I thought was funny though. There big traffic jam in store aisle. 2 ladies block aisle by talking, lots of people backed up in three directions.

My human sort of know man in front of him, he have big booming type voice, just with normal talking. So my human come up with idea and he say to man, “a bit of a traffic jam today”, and man say, “yes, we do have a traffic jam.” Everyone hear his loud voice and 2 women move right away. My human very happy, his idea worked. That part is strange.😹 Oh well, here is funnies for today…

TEN REASONS FARM TRUCKS ARE NEVER STOLEN

10. They have a range of about 20 miles before they overheat, breakdown or run out of gas.

9. Only the owner knows how to operate the door to get in or out.

8. It is difficult to drive fast with all the fence tools, grease rags, ropes, chains, syringes, buckets, boots and loose papers in the cab.

    • Good morning Dusty! Muffin is letting me answer since she is napping right now.

      This is a tough story for the Investigators, but we’ll get it done and hopefully stop these people completely as well. 🤔🕵️‍♂️

      • Might be nice to have a ghost cat, but we can’t bring her back if she dies now that Dr. W. is dead. He had the key for this ghost thing. But, we now have 8 ghosts on our team which has sure been a big help.🤔🙀👻

      • How are the house plants doing? Are they growing big and strong? What about those fires 🔥 🫣 The smoke down here last week was really bad. I hope they’re getting them under control and that it’s not anywhere near you.

      • Yep, my plants are doing great! Yeah, those fires are bad. Lots in the 30 to 50 thousand acre range. One is over 500,000 acres now. Thousands of people are being evacuated. It’s bad right across western Canada, very dry further north. The dryness begins about 50 miles north of us, we are in a bubble along the lake here that has had a lot of rain. That smoke was terrible last week, it came from Manitoba and Saskatchewan mostly. We have over 50 fires here, same in Manitoba, with thousands more people being evacuated. Manitoba has lost about 2.5 million acres to fires so far. We’re only at about a million acres so far.🔥☹️

    • Not too bad, haven’t been doing too much this summer really. One of the problems with living in an apartment building is that there isn’t much to do. How’s things been with you?

  7. Kinda crazy actually. Seems I’m running from one thing to another. I’m trying to get my daughter through her divorce to help fix my grandsons car AGAIN! He’s doing the work mostly… im too d**n old for this stuff, and my grand daughter wants me to help her with hers…🥵
    Then I’m trying to squeeze in sometime for flying, of which I have a fun fly im volunteering for this Saturday. And when I’m not doing l those things, I’m trying to recover physically. I had an ultra sound done on my aortic aneurysm a few weeks ago, and that’s doing OK. Just slightly larger than a few years ago, so no action is needed now, which is good because I don’t have the time right now.🤪

    • Wow, sounds like you are enjoying a nice relaxing summer with your family. You forgot to mention your time fishing and swimming. I hope you get some good weather for your flying time on Saturday, supposed to be rainy here Supposed to be rainy and cool tomorrow too. I finally gave in and bought a better mattress, what a difference for sleeping. Glad to hear that your ultrasound was good news. My rent is going up again, but only $86 this year. My electric bill is also going up. Too bad my pension doesn’t keep pace with that. Oh well.🙄😂

  8. Yeah, nothing ever goes down, does it? That’s alot for a rent increase! It’s too bad you’re not chubby like me, then when you cut back on eating, you’d still be the right weight!😂 I’ll be back in a few minutes, i have to change the oil on my skin from motor to human oil!🤮

    • Yeah, it is a lot for one increase and I only have my Old Age Security to live on. Anyway, I gotta go and get everything ready for doing laundry in the morning. I’ll be back tomorrow if you’re around!😊

    • Good morning Dusty! I was down there at 4:15 this morning and someone was there ahead of me and had already washed her clothes and had them in the dryers! She is the same person that visits my new neighbor anywhere between 11 pm and 1 am, calling out very loudly “Are you awake?” and pounding on her door. There are actually 2 different ladies who do that. The one from this morning has actually been evicted, but she appealed the eviction and that won’t be heard for another 8 months. Meantime she gets to stay. She is a real problem type.🙄☹️

  11. Ooops! I didn’t realize that you were having issues like that with her.😬 8 months, she gets to stay while filing an appeal? That’s crazy!!🤪
    Wow! Canada has some very lenient rules around that. Sorry, I didn’t mean to touch that nerve. I can see where that pounding would get really irritating.
    So, do you have plans for today?

    • Here it is very hard to get rid of a tenant, no matter what they do. It has to go through our landlord/tenant board which can take up to 2 years. She’s involved in illegal activities and breaking her lease agreement. She knows how to manipulate people and the “system” to get what she wants. And she gets others in trouble while she’s at it. There’s another tenant that has also been evicted and has appealed. No plans for today really except vacuum and maybe repot a plant.🪴😊

    • Hey, not a bad idea! Especially the ghosts!
      I want my plants to live, not die from boredom! Talking to them would likely kill them. Sigh. They’re doing great though, which is nice. There was a problem with fungus gnats, but that seems to have cleared up now. A lady that works in the building here has a terrible problem with fungus gnats on her plants too, same with one of my nieces. Must be the season for them.🙄🪴🦟

    • Yep, they are kind of like fruit flies. I had hundreds of them flying around my plants for a couple of months. They have special plant sticky traps for them which I used and they would get covered with those nasty little critters! They can be very annoying in such large numbers.

    • Well, I don’t have many readers anymore, usually around 10 regulars on my blog, but sometimes there is a boost up to 15. Sure a big change to when I was getting 80 or more. I do have a lot of email readers though, often up to 100, but normally between 80 and 90. Nice to know that. My posts are not as regular as they used to be, living here there isn’t much to write about. It is sure cold here today, only 66 and cloudy.🥶

    • Yep, they’re still reading indeed, but the info doesn’t show up readily on my blog, I have to go looking for it. They just issued an air quality alert, heavy smoke for the next 2 days. Hmm, several police cars just went roaring past, sirens blaring, must be something important.

    • I know the problem, it has happened to me by being interrupted by a phone call or someone at the door! The smoke is absolutely terrible today, back to my coughing again.😷

    • The cooler weather has slowed down the fires a bit, but most are still out of control, including that biggest one. They admitted the only thing that will stop that big fire is rain, a lot of it. It’s just too big for the resources we have. There are even fire fighters from Australia, California, Mexico and Costa Rica helping us. So far we have lost about 12 million acres to fires this year in western Canada. And it just keeps getting worse.

    • They say that some of these fires will likely burn all winter, they just stay underground smoldering and then pop up again once it dries out in spring. That has happened here before. Well, I’m off to bed, I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon!😊🔥

    • Yep, back to the masks again!😷 Helps a bit anyway. 🙄 Should be gone by tomorrow morning though, the wind is changing direction so that will clear the smoke away. Hot today, it’s 73! whoohoo!😂

    Is Muffin taking her afternoon nap after her noon nap?😸 It’s cloudy here today and kinda windy… I slept until after nine this morning! I was bushed after yesterday. That was a lot of work. But the club netted $99 with donations and raffle ticket sales!

    • Kinda chilly with that wind out there. Yep, she’s napping, I’m going to try that too for a while, don’t know why I’m so tired, must be the cool weather. Did I mention it’s been kind of cool up this way. It has been. Cool that is. And smoky. Anyway, I’ll be back in about an hour. Kinda cool today. Or did I mention that already? Oh well. Time to zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!🙃

    • Well, I have to give Jennifer the credit for that, she has the brains, not me. At least, that’s what she says and I’m not going to argue with a ghost. Well, time for heading to bed, early morning in the morning tomorrow morning. I’ll check in and see if you’re raining tomorrow. 😃

    • I think La Nina is warmer and drier, El Nino is cold and snowy. But it could be the other way around or it could be the other way around the other. Now you confused me. Must be the cold weather. For us June was colder and wetter than usual even though it started off hot and dry. Looks like July will be the same, but August is supposed to be hot and dry. But, they said that about July too. As they say in the old country, “seeing is getting hit in the face”.

    • No idea, I don’t speak German, not a word. Rain has stopped again but now smoke has come back again. Muffin is napping and I should be doing something but I don’t have any energy to do something. I think maybe I will have a short nap too, this time I will keep it short though, like half an hour. That seems to work best for me. I’ll be back soon…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    • I’m here finally. The maintenance guy came by to fix things on the balcony so the neighbors cats can’t get across to this side now. So I ended up being a bit late. Just sat down with my supper, potatoes, broccoli, and pork chops.🙃

    • Yeah, I was walking when I went shopping this morning.😂 Otherwise, no, not recently. I should, but it’s just hard to get excited about walking around streets looking at the same houses, same yards, same cars, same boring. Sigh.🙄

    • Ooooo, wish we had some sunshine here, although that humidity would likely be even worse. My back is very sore today for some reason, so it’s slowing me down. I did get part of my kitchen cleaning done this morning and got out to pick up my meds. I’m also rearranging my plants, some were not getting enough light, some had too much. So hopefully I can get it worked out better.😊🪴🌱

  42. Sounds like you’ve been a busy Beaver this morning. That’s a full days accomplishment in just the morning. I finally have located the last part needed to finish the repair on my Grandsons car today. I know… that’s a lot less than you got done but I’ve trying to find this part for a long time.🥵

    • Yeah, sucking all that air really gets me.😂😂 I decided against it though, my back is complaining too much to vacuum today. So, I’m watering all my plants instead right now.🙃🪴

    • Lots. 35 at last count, plus 3 cuttings I’m trying to root. I had to cut them off the parent plant anyway since the plant was getting too tall and starting to fall over. It wasn’t getting enough light, so it was stretching to reach better light. One plant died so I saved some leaves to root into another plant. They are starting to get some roots now so maybe in another week I can plant them.😃

    • Smoky. I sat on the balcony with Muffin for a while this afternoon. Then I vacuumed the bedroom and hallway. I washed out Muffin’s litter box. Had a short nap. Watered the flowers on the deck. So really, didn’t do much.
