For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Soon after losing contact with Dawn and the 3 girls that went into Mary’s house, the cats pressed their alarm button. Milena called me right away and told me what was going on and she was unable to reach Dawn and the others. So, she asked if they should go in the house and look around. I said no to that but told her to try and let the cats out of the house. I also told her that we would be coming right away and to wait at the cars for us. I then told the rest of Dawn’s team to be ready to leave in 3 minutes.
I also told Kat and her Wildcats to come with us. That would give us Kat, Kristina and myself for ghosts, but Jennifer said we needed to take more with us. So, I took Sky and Angel as well. In three minutes we were on the road and heading for the city. Sherry is driving the lead van and I told the others to keep up with her, which is no easy feat.
Meanwhile, Macy and Jackie went up to the front door of Mary’s house and opened it enough to let the cats out. However, no cats came out, so Macy said “meow”, but still no cats showed up. Then she called for the cats. But still nothing. Milena and Nakedra had stayed by the car with Mary and as the girls looked back, Milena waved to them to return, which they did, quickly. I told Milena it was time to let Mary know what was happening, so she did. This made Mary both scared and worried.
I told Milena that all of them were to stay at the cars, and stay alert, until we arrived. It’s amazing how long it seems to take driving to the city when there is an emergency, even when we are driving faster than normal. Actually, I think that’s the only way Sherry knows how to drive, fast. She is a fantastic driver though and I trust her driving skills. Jennifer, and now Ivy, drive the same way as Sherry. Fast and furious. It took the other girls an hour and a half to reach Mary’s house from our chateau, it took us less than an hour. Before we arrived, however, I lost contact with Milena and the others.
That is really odd, those four girls know how to stay alert, no one can sneak up on them easily. Now I’m starting to get very worried. Before we left home I had asked Cristy to check on the background of Mary, and especially the parents of these children that had disappeared mysteriously 15 years ago. About half way to the city Cristy had called me with some interesting information on the parents. They both worked at the same nightclub in the city which the police think has gang involvement, but they have never found any proof.
The most interesting part is that this nightclub was, and still is, owned by our old “friend” Koffman. There’s the connection to gang involvement and would partly explain the disappearance of the parents, though why exactly they would have been killed is something we don’t yet know. Now, is there a connection between the parents disappearance and their children’s disappearance? Did the children just leave home to go work at this same nightclub where their parents had worked?
That is something we will need to check on, though I doubt we will get any help from the people running that club for Koffman. I’m sure they know all about us and will just tell us to leave. But, we have to try anyway. We finally came driving up to the house and parked behind the girl’s van. I sensed trouble, serious trouble, so I told everyone to be extra careful getting out of their vans. I didn’t like the fact we saw no one as we drove up, they were supposed to wait by the car.
The ghosts got out first, then the rest of us. Suddenly Kat and the other ghosts ran over to the car. They brought out Milena and Nakedra and laid them on the grass. They had been stabbed! But how is that possible? Someone had to sneak up real close to them in order to stab them. There was no sign of Macy, Jackie and Mary. Then the three of them came walking from around the side of the house, Macy and Jackie holding onto Mary. Mary was very confused right now and apparently she suddenly ran away and around to the back of the house, with Macy and Jackie chasing her.
Apparently while the girls were watching in every direction, Mary had just run off, and fast. Milena told Macy and Jackie to bring her back and they both said they were only gone maybe a couple of minutes. Just enough time for someone to come along and stab the two of them and put them into the car, then run away. Milena and Nakedra were both stabbed in the stomach, but were alive, so Kat was working on them to hopefully heal those stab wounds. Were the girls that went in the house also stabbed?
If so, it would be too late for them. Whoever did this will certainly regret it. And if Koffman had anything to do with it, then we will put him out of business permanently. Sky wanted to go and check on that house right now, she was angry! I told her we all wanted to go rushing inside, but we need to be careful. She just looked at me. “Steve, we’re ghosts,” she reminded me, “we don’t need to worry about things, just let us go in and look around.” Maybe she was right.
So, in we went, well, some of us went in anyway. Sky, Angel and myself went in first, followed by the Wildcats plus Rusty, Rascal, Tracker, Azura and Boots. The cats will look primarily for the first three cats, Storm, Ginger and Tandi. I find it very hard to believe that anyone could sneak up on Storm, but obviously they did. The remainder of Dawn’s team stayed outside with Kat. As we went inside, I turned the lights on right away and we got a big surprise.
Dawn was sitting on the couch with the 3 cats and all were just staring at us. I tried talking to them, but Dawn just kept staring and the cats just acted like normal cats. “They have been drugged,” said Ivy, “the good part is, it should wear off after a while.” “But how was someone able to drug them?” I asked. “Guess that’s something we will need to investigate,” replied Ivy. “Okay everyone,” I said, “spread out and look around, groups of four, except the ghosts and keep your guns in your hands at all times.”
Angel found Roxette next, sleeping in one of the bedrooms. She was a bit confused though. She knew who she was, but not where she was or why she was here. Maybe this is why Mary is so confused and why her grandchildren disappeared. However, we didn’t find Beryan or Engla, but I did find something on the kitchen table, a large envelope with my name on it…

Good thing the cats were able to use their alert buttons before getting drugged. Good thing Sherry got you to Marry’s house quicker than the others. The stabbings are not good nor Mary running fast and escaping. Is she really who she says she is or is she wearing a costume an is really someone else.
It is interesting that Mary’s children were working with Koffman when they disappeared. There is definitely much confusion and evil coming from Mary’s house. Someone is giving you a big warning to stay away. Confusion seems to reign. Mary remains confused but strong enough to elude Macy, and Jackie for a time. This is a dangerous case!

Yes, at least using their alert buttons it helped the girls to know there was a serious problem. Sherry does know how to drive fast! I wonder if Mary deliberately led Macy and Jackie away from the others? Or was she just scared and in her confusion she just decided to run away? She seems to be in good physical condition and if she waited for a time when the girls were turned away, she could easily outrun them temporarily. They were not gone long though which makes me think it was a setup. Others were obviously waiting close by to attack the other two girls. Still, sneaking up on Milena and Beryan would not be easy. They have been with us for quite a while now and always pay attention to what goes on around them. Something isn’t right.
Yes, someone wants us to stay away, but hurting or killing anyone on our team is not the way to stop us! Confusion seems to have come to Dawn and Roxette too, and the cats. Perhaps there is something in the house that causes this confusion? Yes, Mary’s children working for Koffman is interesting. I wonder in what capacity they were working. Did they try to cross Koffman and were killed? What is in that large envelope with my name on it? π€π©πΌπ»π΅οΈββοΈ

It appears to be a setup on several levels. They knew you were coming!

Yes, they did, but how would they know? Unless Mary is working for them, but I don’t think she is. Still, I could be wrong.

Mary’s car could have a tracking device on it, she may have listening device on her–without her knowledge, or she might have someone she trusts working for the enemy. or perhaps she is impersonating Mary. There are many different options. Someone did something to Dawn and her team, in a short time. Mary, at the least is being monitored.

Yes, we need to do some checking around for trackers and listening devices. Kind of hard at the start when we first met Mary, but she should cooperate now. Yes, we need to check about possible house cleaners or friends that might not be so friendly. Someone is watching Mary and her house.π€π΅οΈββοΈ

Someone is not only watching Mary and her house, they are invading it. They mess with her medication and poison those who enter, kidnap, intimidate and commit murder.

Yes, they seem to be well organized and very quick with what they do. Now to figure out how they cause that confusion so quickly and easily with our girls and cats. They didn’t use medication on them. π€π΅οΈββοΈ

Sound waves that alter the brain and ability to think. Perhaps some type of altering the perceptions or hypnosis. They alternated reality. with some kind of electronics.

Yes, there are different ways they could do it which would work quickly. Sound waves and/or electronic pulses of some kind would work quickly. And we will soon find out how it’s done from a very unlikely source! That will be in chapter 4 tomorrow. But chapter 3 from last night tells us some important things too. I wonder why they are so interested in Mary and her grandchildren?

Good question! Mary and her grandchildren must have some secrets.

Definitely! Unfortunately, talking with Mary doesn’t work well, she’s still too confused. And it might take too long for her to return to normal so she can tell us. We don’t have time on our side since the grandchildren could be in danger. So, we need to get tough with Francois now!π€π΅οΈββοΈ
